What’s the rule you agree with the most?: I personally agree with and would enjoy the rules around combat, as it is more consent-based and allows for some versatility and depth. I am less inclined toward combat in roleplaying and would be more interested in the narrative qualities of conflict.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): I would appreciate clarification around the rules of death. I believe I understand it but would benefit from another description of what that rule means for LotC.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? I did a Google search for Minecraft RP servers and found a link to your website on minecraft-server-list.com

What is roleplaying?: The portrayal of a character other than yourself as if you were that character.

What is metagaming?: When information available only to yourself as a roleplayer is used as if it was information gained by the character you portray; effectively a form of cheating when done intentionally.

What is powergaming?: When a player is only interested in the successful outcome of them or their character at any cost, typically ignoring game rules, but often times just portraying their character in a dominating and abusive way that is not complimentary to a roleplaying community.

Character’s name: Gren Tualo

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

 

Born during the end of the Second Grand Kingdom of Urguan, Gren Tualo grew up in a traditional Dwarven lifestyle until he was 14, when an orc clan raided the town he was raised in. Both his parents were killed in the attack, as well as many of the villagers (although to this day, Gren does not know if anyone else survived from that attack). Gren believes that he caused the orcs to attack, thinking it to be an act of revenge for his having killed a young orc a month before the attack as a self-imposed rite of passage, as he was impatient toward gaining the respect of his peers and elders. Having survived the attack, he traveled the mountains of his homeland for a time, but eventually wandered the roads far away, not staying in any one place, and performing odd jobs for food and temporary lodging before moving on to a new place. Gren became a drifter, sometimes feeling lost, although there was a part of him that enjoyed the thrill of finding new places. This motivated him toward travel, along with the simple need of food and lodging which also kept him going from town to town for survival.

 

Gren traveled along with others to escape the Deep Freeze in Thales, shamefully below decks, for the conflict the ensued reminded him of the orcs who had destroyed his home years ago. Like others, Gren explored the new land of Athera, though mostly on his own. He worked to hone his skills in combat and to face his fears and resentment of his past. He still struggles with his inner demons. Upon the rise of the Third Grand Kingdom of Urguan, Gren began to take more interest in the ways of his fellow dwarves. Although it took him some years to come to terms with his identity (and still has some way to go), he now makes his way to Kal'Azgoth, wishing to include himself wholeheartedly within Dwarven life, although much of the current ways are unknown to him.

 

Personality Traits: Passionate and curious, but can sometimes be aloof and seemingly shy

Ambitions: To bridge one to another; make connections in life, through the act of building (either socially or physically)

Strengths/Talents: Building roads, mining, finding common ground

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Not good at swimming, often chooses to flee in tough situations
