What is roleplaying?: Role-playing is when you play as someone from real life or someone you made up Eg, "Hello there traveler care to show me the way to a nearby inn?" That is some type of role-play.

Character’s name: Toreke

Character’s gender: Male

Character’s race: Dwarf

Character’s age: 52

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):Toreke was born in the age of anthos and the son of simple peasants in a small village along the outskirts of the dwarven city Kal'Azgoth. Within that area there was much hardship as it bordered an Orc town called Fort Tythus. There was constant news of small skirmishes between the two races in the village. Toreke was a single child who was loved by his parents and noticed the hardship that they were going through to keep him alive. The orcs raided the dwarven village's fields often, so a large harvest was hard to come by. But he and his family survived.

When he was a young boy, an alarm was raised in his village. The orcs had started a war between the dwarves and the small village on the border of the Dwarven territory so the men began to arm themselves, but it was too late. A troop of Orc from the opponent village had lit several of the buildings on fire, and had begun to slaughter the helpless villagers. His father turned to Toreke and said in a voice with forced calm, "Find your mother, Toreke" Toreke ran to his mother, who ushered him away from the village. Behind him he could see the village burning. When he reached the woods that bordered his village, his mother told him to say put. She raced back to the village and Toreke saw her running with a group of survivors one of them were his father.

He fled into the trees, trying to escape with his family from the grasps of the Orcs. But in his hurry, an Orc saw him. The Orc called to his comrades and they chased them down, finally capturing them and knocking all of them out. He woke up with chains around his hands. He was sitting in a worn wagon being pulled by unkempt horses. He saw several Orcs walking along side the wagon. when he looked at them they stared back with disgust. Slowly, he closed his eyes.

On the journey, Toreke saw many things. He found out the he and his family were the some of the only people that had survived the raid. Now, the Orcs were taking toreke and his family to a human village, to b in prisoned. On the way to the village he passed by a group of Elves. When they saw him sitting in the wagon, they sneered at him and spat in his direction. Finally he had reached the multi-race village called Dunwood. A large group of humans and elves gathered around him and his family and asked how much the Orcs were asking for him. They replied that they were going to prison. When night arrived, Toreke was shoved into his cell with his parents, They started making a plan and agreed with one.

The orcs treated him cruelly. He was given little to eat and was watched at all times. He was sent to do the worst jobs in the large prison, and hated the orcs. The one good thing that came out of his in prisonment was learning the human and orc language. After 7 years of in prison (Because the plan didn't work), Toreke saw an opportunity to escape. He saw a large crack in the wall of his cell. He told his family and they began to chip away at it which took a few weeks. After they made a big enough hole and covering up with cloth, they escaped but something wasn't right one of the guards saw it so they made a run for it. While Toreke and his mother got through the hole, his father fought off the orc distracting him. Toreke and his mother ran for it but his mother collapsed and torke saw that she was shot. He mother said in dyeing words "Toreke run..Run as fast as you can find the dwarven lands and start a new..." She was dead. With rage Toreke ran for as long as he could ( 2 months pass)

Toreke wandered the wilds for quite some time. He lived off of whatever he could find, all the while letting his hate for other races fester inside him. Whenever he was seen by one of the other races, he was called names and shewed away. Finally, he reached his destination, The Dwarf Regions. On his way into the heart of the region he passed by his home village. There the hate inside him and boiled over, he rushed into the village with anger. Little did he know that the Orcs had captured the village long ago. Screaming in terror, he was chased out of the village with the Orcs following in hot pursuit. He felt metallic stinging in his knee, where he knew he had been hit by an arrow. Finally he collapsed on the ground as the Orcs converged on top of him.

It was just by happenstance that a group of Dwarves were trooping through the woods that day, and heard the noises of the fight. Led by their leader, Morkas, they chased away the Orcs, and found Toreke lying on the ground. They took him to the capital city where Morkas lived called Kal'Azgoth. There he was healed in the company of Morkas. When he was healing, he got to know the older dwarf. So after he declared he had no family (Because they were sold somewhere in asulon) he was adopted and taken in.but despite his healing, he could still feel the dull pain in his knee and the chain of suffering around his hands.

Personality Traits: He is a person that always wants to give something a go and try's to never give up. He will always help people in need and he'll fish for food and smith. He loves fishing because he has lots of patience

Ambitions: To try something different and help farm or go fishing or just help clean up towns, farms and other areas around the dwarven area. He also likes to be a smith and make swords for the peasants.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Running because he tumbles alot as he was shot on the leg, He is also weak at using a sword and cooking

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight):Toreke is a rather tall dwarf measuring in at 1.4m and his hair color is brown. Toreke is not known best for his strength with a sword, since most the dwarfs beat him in that aspect

• While your biography is of a decent length, I have a few concerns with it:
  • It contains cliche elements, especially where the Orcs raid your village and then your character is sold into slavery.

  • It still contains no server lore. The wiki http://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/ contains all the information you need, such as town names.
• Please expand upon your personality traits, ambitions, strengths and weaknesses. You note that your character has strength to weld a sword, then you say in your appearance question that he is not well known for his strength - does this imply that he is weak?
• I would suggest you make your character a slight bit shorter, as Dwarves range from 3 to 5 feet tall (0.9 to 1.5 metres.)
