Scarlet Raven:

Scarlet Raven will become an economic and public service powerhouse, providing services such as pelt/animal part collecting, hunting for game or sport, as well as protecting the good people of Athera from the foulest of beasts the lands have ever seen.

The reach of the guild will be almost unlimited, and it will have outposts strewn across Athera, and who knows where else.

The new members will follow the journey of this guild from it's humble beginnings, right up until the climax of it's tale, rising through the ranks as the guild grows in size, strength, and renown. Unlike some stories being told in the world, the newer members may not be the star of the show in this guild. Join us as we adventure throughout Athera, helping those in need while also helping in the global goal of finally defeating Iblees.

Ranks:

As you become a part of this guild, you will gain knowledge and rank:

Guild Master

Guild Master is the main leadership position of the guild. The Guild Master stewards the core values of Scarlet Raven promoting creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and courage. It is a political, social, and emotional position. It will be passed down to whoever the master deems worthy of the title. Some of the more basic tasks of the job include make sure everyone is kept informed and taking a hand in coordinating the ranks as needed. The guild master will also be the one who calls meetings and gatherings. If the guild master is unavailable for any of the above, the General Council is available for assistance. The Guild Master recruits, organizes, and generally manages guild activities and relations.

Grand Council

Guild Master responsibilities can't be done alone, and the title (sadly) can't be shared. The Grand Council represents the member of the guild who is the second in command. The Grand Council, in direct consultation with GM, works to provide leadership and promote community development.

Advisor

The Advisor members are very active guild members who work towards guild recruitment and planning guild activities. These are dedicated players who have volunteered their assistance with managing guild activities and relations. As such, diplomacy skills must be adequate enough to foster the needs of a healthy community. A Advisor member is a person to go for our guild members to discuss matters that concern them, allowing for private discussions that can be brought to the attention of the Guildmaster and Grand Council if needed. The Advisor members work to resolve issues in a positive, collaborative, and effective manner. The Advisor also can set up instance runs for guild members, plan groups, and organize raids. The Advisor may also assist members in acquiring weapons and armor so they are properly equipped. If a member/members needs a specific Instance done in the future, they should get in touch with an Advisor member. Planning ahead is the best, and even the officers need to have fun and enjoy the game.

Sentinels

Affiliate members who have dedicated themselves to the betterment of the guild and shown a willingness to participate constructively will be promoted to Sentinel.

Affiliate

The Affiliates form the base of our members. Becoming an Affiliate relies heavily on guild interaction and participation, and requires a two-week waiting process as an Initiate before moving up to this status.

Initiate

The lowest rank, but still one of the most important, the Initiates are put through a two week “Trial Membership” process. In this time, their overall participation with other members will be monitored to ensure that they have no malicious intent, and that they get along with everyone. Initiates have no obligation to stay with us, and can leave at any time they wish.

Probation

After a month of inactivity, members will be moved to the Probation listing. From there, they will be upgraded back to the Initiate rank, and will have to go through the promotion process all over again. To avoid this, please leave a member of leadership a heads up, if possible, if you know that you may be gone for an extended period of time. Emergencies will be excused. In addition, problem members will be moved to this rank, and will be taken off at the discretion of the officers.

Above all, DO NOT ASK TO BE PROMOTED. If you do, you will be downgraded to the next lowest  possible rank.

Guild Rules:

What is a guild without it’s rules.

  1. You are expected to treat your fellow guild mates with respect at all times, remembering that we are working towards a common goal. Abuse will not be tolerated. If there is an issue that you feel needs resolving contact an Advisor or anyone of higher rank. What you may see as great advice others may be resentful towards and the correct conduit with which to approach these matters is via an Advisor or higher up.

  1. The guild will have “teams” of sorts: 3-4 people per team, they will eat, sleep, and live together, and any jobs they partake in, the reward shall be split evenly amongst the team members. If the loot cannot be divided evenly, the guild master will take the odd amount of loot and place it into the guild’s fund for building, helping out, etc.

  1. Our members are representatives of the guild to the outside world and we expect people to act in such a way that the guild will be looked on in a good light. We will not tolerate arrogant or abusive behaviour, dissing of other guilds or their members, troublemaking, or any other activity that would bring the guild into a bad light. Act maturely and responsibly always.

  1. The "trial" period for Initiate last for on average, 2 weeks. This is by no means a deadline and we reserve the right to keep members on trial for as long as we deem necessary to be sure you are suitable for Initiate. During this time you will have essentially the same rights as any member, except that your performance is being even more closely monitored.

  1. If one wishes to leave the guild, they must:

  • Tell the guild master

  • Be sure that they wish to leave (because very rarely does the master let anyone back)

  • Last and most importantly, must partake in the farewell ceremony

  1. The Farewell Ceremony:

As a custom for some(if not all) members, anyone leaving Scarlet Raven is given a "ceremony" of sorts. When members of any team have friends that leave to lead their lives elsewhere, the member closest to the leaving friend recites the three truths of Scarlet Raven:

  1. They shall not reveal any sensitive information about the guild to enemies or anyone outside the guild. PERIOD.

  2. Though we may never see each other again, we, the entire guild of Scarlet Raven, will be watching over you, wishing you the best of luck in your life, hoping you will be living it as if each day were your last.

  3. Fight with all your heart and remember your family- Scarlet Raven.
