-Shamanistic Council of Motshams-

The Shamanistic Council of Motshams are the individuals who are the respective masters of their subtypes. They are the most experienced and powerful within their subtype, and so are the decision-makers regarding the path of shamanism in mortal hands. However, one shaman could potentially have more than one mastery. As such, the titles are as follows:

 

Motsham of 1 subtype: Motsham

Motsham of 2 subtypes: Majul Motsham

Motsham of 3 subtypes: High Shaman

 

For any decisions regarding shamanism and the Orcs’ relation to the Spirits, such as declaring a whitewash in the case of affronts to the Spirits, removing a Shaman, or deciding the spiritual relations towards other magicks, a vote is held within the council, with each Motsham having a set amount of votes depending on their title. A Motsham has 1 vote, a Majul Motsham has 2, and a High Shaman has 3. If there is a tie, then in the case of removing a Shaman the Motsham of the accused’s subtype gets an extra vote, but for other decisions, any available Elders are called upon. Apohet serves as a moderator for the council and deals directly with the two Motshams. He directly controls who is on the council and holds the sole power to choose, remove, or change which shamans sit on his Motsham council. Some of these reasons might be; inactivity, dishonourable actions, or lack of devotion to the Spirits.

-Learning Shamanism-

A new pupil must be brought to the spirit realm by a Motsham and be approved to learn by said Motsham. After this process is complete the student may take up learning said subtype by any elder shaman. A Motsham passes on the ability of teaching to a regular shaman by giving them their blessing. Once this blessing has been given, Apohet will pass onto said shaman the ability to openly teach others their subtype of shamanism. Thus Motsham serve as the overseers of their subtype while elders serve as teachers and shamans as the general users and students.

 

Quick TLDR:

Motsham: The leaders of the Shamans, they are Ancient Shamans, or Motshams. They lead the spiritual sides of the War Nation. They are the strongest and the most intelligent of the shamans and they can also be ferocious fighters.

 

Elder Shamans: Strong Shamans and teachers who are not deemed suitable for the position of Motsham, for reasons as outlined above and/or being junior in power and experience to a current Motsham.

 

Shamans: Students and other low level Shamans who have been gone for a long time or are still on the road of learning.
