First Contact

"Ah ! Finally Aesterwald ! What a wunderschöne city !"

With a green hunting cap, which is adorned with a feather on his hat and an oak walking stick in his right hand, Ferdinand stood infront of the gate. He is relieved to have arrived there without prejudice. He took a deep breath, made a sure his mustache was there where it should be and entered the city. 

"Grüß Gott !"  he said to the men and  "Die Dame." to the women, while tipping his hat, whom he met on his way to the "Filthy Frank"

Just as he wanted to enter, a young boy ran into him and fell on the ground. "Oh my ! You need to pay attention, where you going, Bub." Ferdinand helped the boy to get up and squatted down at his eye level. He pulled down of his pocket a big red apple and offered it him "Here for you, you little Lausebengel." The boy ran off with a happy face and big red apple. 

Then Ferdinand entered the inn. At the counter he booked two room. The innkeeper asked him 
"Mein Herr, may I ask why you rent two room ? I am just curious because I only see you. Or do you just need extra storage ?" Ferdinand placed some coins on the counter while saying "You are goldrichtig, I am alone right know." , he blinked, "But in some days mein Herr will arrive. And you need to make sure his room is extra clean when he arrives. But now I need a good Bier !" 

The innkeeper nodded and filled a mug beer

"Oh yes, " Ferdinand said to himself "He will love it here as much I already do..."

Little did he know the young boy had actually pickpocketed him, the ale was poisoned, the inn was infested with vermin, and there were already a few probably plotting his murder.
