When attempting to log in I continually get the following error:

Failed to connect to the server

java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information:

Why might this be?  I recall having this issue before and it being resolved, but I can not recall the solution.  I am currently on 1.7.10 and am using the IP of "mc.lotc.co".

Thank you in advance.

1. Direct connecting?

2. Your java updated?

3. Unplug it and plug it back in?

Otherwise I'd just assume you might have some mods conflicting with the server, or something. Is it safe for me to assume you haven't tried re-installing minecraft altogether? You might try that also.

1. Close mc completely and try again

2. See if you can join another server

3. Try other lotc ips like login.lordofthecraft.net

4. get off ur vpn u alting cnt

5. Try an older version of MC

Tried all that, nothing works.  It has to be my computer or wi-fi as minecraft works fine for other servers and the issue was not fixed when I re-downloaded it/switched versions.  I've tried: mc.lotc.co, lotc.co, and login.lordofthecraft.net on multiple version.

I recently had problems, recently being today where I could NOT stay on the server no matter what. I eventually found out it was because I had a really old version of Seus Shaders AND More Player Models, so I had to re-download at new version.

I have no idea what your problem is, but I completely deleted .minecraft, then re-installed everything. If you are on a laptop, a fix I found is going into your Nvidia control panel and setting the global video card (thing) to the Nvidia High Performance Card. (At least if your problem is Shaders.)
