Charlotte2233 0 Share Posted February 8, 2015 Out-Of-Character Information Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication! What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: Charlotte2233 How old are you?: 15 Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes Have you applied to this server before? (Please link all past applications): Yes https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/121847-charlotte2233s-application/ Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes What’s the rule you agree with the most?: No harassment is my favorite rule. The reason the rule ‘No Harrasment’ is my favorite rule, is because harassment can be really annoying to all players being harassed, or even just being near the harassment. Many servers don’t have this rule, which makes the community a harsh, violent place. I think this rule will help make LotC a good, peaceful place. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): No, but thank you for the option. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: My friend ben127127 told me about LotC a loooong time ago, but I’ve only now got interested in it. I decided “Hey! Why not?” and tried writing up an application. :) Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is acting like a character that is not actually who you are. This is usually done by following their lore, acting how they would, and using their physical and mental abilities as they would. (i.e magic, sword fighting skills, etc.) What is metagaming?: Metagaming is taking OOC information, and bringing it into IC. Metagaming is specifcally usng OOC information that your character would not have, for example: OOCly someone msg’s me that Dwarves are going to raid the Humans. ICly, I tell all of my friends and we wait for them. Thats metagaming, because I used OOC information, (dwarves going to raid us,) and brought it into IC (preparing to fight them). What is power gaming?: Roleplaying another character that is not yours, (Char throws a punch at Len, /and knocks him out/*) . This is powergaming because Char roleplayed for Len, and decided what damage her punch would do. In LotC, the one being attacked decides the effects. It is also doing something that your character is incapable of doing IC. (i.e /Char soars into the air, flinging arrows by the second. They set on fire mid air, and plummet towards Len./) Unless Char was an ET doing an event as a special character, who was also a fire mage and a air mage, this would be completely impossible. Even with those skills, this would be extremely difficult to complete, and in one emote, definitely powergaming. The parts in / / in this section (Definitions) are powergaming. In-Character Information Character’s name: Zindeo Herido Character’s gender: Male Character’s race: Wood Elf Character’s age: 97 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Mother: Rebecce Herido Brother: Enzo Herido Father: Zindeo Herido Zindeo lived and was born in Malinor. Malinor was scarcely populated at the time, and all those who did live their rarely went back into the woods far enough, back where the barracks and archery range were. This is where Zindeo lived. His house was above ground, in an array of tangling and beautiful architecture, that made his home. A string of small homes up on the tree tops were often owned, but uninhabited. Zindeo never understood why no one ever seemed to be living in them, but he didn’t mind the space. In fact, Zindeo loved having all of the tree’s to himself. The houses rarely actually reached up to the top of the trees, but Zindeo was nimble enough to reach them on his own. Of course, he wasn’t entirely alone. He lived with his father, also named Zindeo, and his twin brother, Enzo. His mother had, tragically, died when she gave birth to the twins. Enzo was an extremely observant boy, and was always able to spot Zindeo as he snuck away from the house to enjoy the lovely peace and quiet of the trees. Zindeo’s father, who Zindeo and his brother just called Maln, meaning father. The two of them, Enzo and Zindeo, were protected and deeply watched over by their father. Elven young were traditionally protected the most by all elves, and their father was not an exception. They never really left Malinor in their younger days, and were rarely far from their home. When they were, their father was with them. Zindeo and Enzo always wanted to leave Malinor, explore the new and untraveled. Maln taught Zindeo starting at the age of 8. He taught him of their history, or, as much that was remembered of it. He told them of how elves of the old would give gold nuggets, to declare hostility. The Herido family, or at least the younger ones, found this hilarious. Gold was revered as valuable by them, and was not given away. Especially not as an act of war. They learned about the Tyrant War in bits and pieces, as not all of the details were known by their father. The main concepts were pieced together, and they knew of its importance. For the most part, ‘Father’ avoided teaching them about human conflicts, or conflicts of the other races. He preferred they know about their own history, not about someone elses. On their free time, Zindeo and Enzo would climb the trees, playing games like tag, and having archery contests, most of which Zindeo won. They loved finding new nooks and crannies in the trees, and often spent hours on end just laying up there, talking, climbing. They grew very close. Zindeo began training to use a bow before he even knew how to make one. He was only 10, and the bow he used then was light, and didn’t require much drawback. He was talented, a natural, as most Wood Elves were. But being a natural wasn’t enough. He still spent days on end practicing, strengthening his arms, preparing himself for the day when he was able to use a real longbow. When Zindeo was 12, he began to learn how to make a bow. It was much more difficult than it looked, but his father was a good teacher. When he was 15, he was fairly good at it. None of their family had ever broken a bow, save for the first few Zindeo ever made. Wood elves were expert crafters of the bow, and they only broke on the few occasions where they were deliberately snapped, or one was so inexperienced as to make a poor quality longbow. Zindeo’s teachings and practices continued through his teens, all the way up until he was 28. At this point, he was a strong bowman, a skilled crafter of them, and was educated on the history of elves. Enzo was as well, however they were both better in different areas. For example, Enzo was always much better at understanding their history, where as Zindeo’s bowmanship excelled. But at the same time, Zindeo always struggled, at least to a Wood Elven standard, at crafting a good bow. Despite his difficulties in some topics, however, Zindeo was always interested and curious to learn more. Zindeo and Enzo had both undergone the same training, and were both ready to leave Malinor around the same time. Enzo was ready a few months before Zindeo, which embarrassed Zindeo greatly, even to this day. However, despite his curiosity, Enzo chose to stay. He took the extra time to practice his bowmanship, and this helped him greatly. However, the day came where they were both ready to depart. Enzo hoping to become a detective, as he had always been observant, and Zindeo unsure with what to do with is life. Perhaps join the elven military. Enzo reached his dream, becoming a detective rather fast with his skills. Zindeo journeyed Anthos, up until the day they transferred into Athera. He continued picking up odd jobs to survive on, his curiosity driving him to explore the land. Personality Traits: Cheerful, curious, interested in everything, even the smallest things Ambitions: Explore the land, discover new things, find new places Strengths/Talents:Running, climbing, bowmanship Weaknesses/Inabilities: His curiosity often drives him to be reckless, and even stupid. Has difficulty remembering actual facts. No skill in swordsmanship Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): 6'5, green eyes, blonde hair, dark, tan, skin.
