Dak'ir shakes his head slowly as he sits on his anvil in the caves near Cerulin. He looks around the room where several Archons have gathered, all arming themselves for the coming battle, a battle they did not wish to join...

"Do not let hate drive your hearts, brothers and sisters... This is not a battle of sides, this is for what's right and wrong. And the mali'aheral have wronged us. We wished for neutrality. They told us that neutrality was no different from us being on the front lines. They do not seek to unite the mali, they seek to rule them. Their noble and just cause is a façade."

He stands up, looking around at the golden faces the have turn to meet his gaze.

"But we will not imitate their actions. We will meet them with honor in battle, not hiding in bushes by the roads like cowards. They strike at civilians, children, and druids, then scurry to their void-brought plateau. They have either brainwashed or the Bronze or are simply high elves using their magics to disguise themselves as the once noble order. The Kha butcher anyone and everyone they find in the forests. And the aheral themselves... They are not all to blame for this. They are driven by a few with a vendetta and a thirst for power. I will not hear of any Mali'ker kidnapping and torturing them. We will not cast them in gold or defile their bodies. We will seek them in battle and then return to our homes. When this ordeal is over and peace is brought to our people once again we will return to our state of neutrality and return our focus to our lost past and to the Ancestors. Our gates will be shut. If there's one bit of sense the high elves make it's that culture tends to become stagnant when close to others. So we will not be allowing many pale skins into our area. Nether, if we can successfully drive the ferals from the caves of the eastern side of the valley we may just up and move there. But that's a discussion for another time. Steel yourselves my kin. For we have a bloody war before us and only the Ancestors know if we'll make it out alive."

He plucks his voulge from the wall before placing the golden faced helm upon his head.

"May the Blessed Spirits guide our blades."

Buubztik especially approves of the last bit, though is confused "Mi fink'd burziz nub wunt tuh wurzhip Zpiritz lyk duh Lawrir'Kur?"

"It's only our ancestors we follow uruk, not all the Immortal Spirits like the Laurir'ker. We do hold respect for them, yet it's the spirits of our fallen we choose to light our path. Dak'ir in particular venerages the immortal spirits more than the common honorable mali'ker, yet I think he meant the ancestral spirts. . .not the immortal spirits."

"Haelun'or only seeks power and destruction. They are savages when they kidnap, pour gold into the mali'ame's eyes, and toss them from Haelun'or's plateau for the sake of oppression. They are savages when they place our kin's heads on pikes setted on their walls for the sake of conquering us." Alakagh stated, standing firm. "They declared war on the State of Laureh'lin after we had agreed upon handing their capital back! For what reason?" His arms spreaded out as he turned around to see everyone. "They want us to become under their oppressive rule."

Dak'ir bow his head as the shaman joins them in their home.

"While I myself hold much veneration for our Ancestors and the Spirits, my son even being blessed by them, the Laurir'ker seemed to be completely replicating the uruks. Their way only ended in killing more dark elves if they did not submit to their will. I and any other dark elves who do so as well, offer the Spirits praise in our own way."

Dak'ir scratches his chin idly as they speak.

"Perhaps I need to visit the uruk lands from time to time. See what I can learn. Provided that's okay, of course."
