Have I read the rules: Yes, I have read the rules and I agree with the rules.

The rule I most agree with:

Structures that defy the laws of physics, underground or automated farms, floating leaves and strip-mining

 

Why? Because I love being to play in a beautiful world free of floating trees and actual mines.

 

Were there any rules that didn't make sense to me?: Not any more... :)

How did I discover LotC?: A friend told me about a server with cool lore, so I thought I'd might as well check it out.

 

Definitions

 

Roleplaying: Creating a new life in a virtual reality with no restrictions based on the living reality, inventing a character which plays a role or position, then playing along with other players who do the same.

Metagaming: Gaining knowledge which would not be usual if the role play were real life. For example, if I talked to Billy about a quest, then Billy killed me, it would be Metagaming to keep the knowledge I obtained from Billy in the conversation before my murder. Another example of Metagaming is if I were to use a wiki to look at info about places where I have never been. Most, if not all knowledge I get for my character has to be obtained by my character's actions and not my own knowledge.

Powergaming: Deciding factors which would not be usual if the role play were real life. For example, saying you shot someone with an arrow and hit them, without them responding if it hit them or not

Character’s name: Ace Equesfrost

Gender: Male

Race: Highlander (Human)

Biography: 
      Ace was born in the Reformed Kingdom of Oren. He is the heir to Doc Equesfrost (Father) and Gail Equesfrost (Mother). Doc Equesfrost was the grandson of the apprentice to Chet Silsbury. Gail Equesfrost was just a maiden of middle class. Ace group up loving craftsmanship and military tactics. At the age of 16, Ace took an apprenticeship with the Craftsman, Elvoner Faun. It is with Elvoner that Ace learned how to refine iron armor and quick swords, as well as the ability to craft traps. At the age of 20, Ace was drafted into the Reformed Oren army.
      Ace trained with the Order of the Flaming Rose. There he learned mounted fighting and one-on-one combat. Ace was a quick learner, and at the age of 23, was promoted into the Reformed Oren army as a Paladin. After a barfight with an Orc merchant, Ace was expelled from the Reformed Oren army for 5 months. During the first 2 months, Ace had developed more impatientence and gouged on cake. The other 3 months were spent up in the North hunting, where he developed a resistance to the cold, and a want for the spilling of blood. Ace After his 3 months was over, he was recruited back as a Paladin, a slightly changed man. His first mission back was to join a party of soldiers in a siege of a Orc encampment. Remembering the reason why he was expelled from the army, he went berserk while assisting his party in killing the Orcs who lived in the Encampment . When he returned with his party, the Head General had him trialed for murdering Orc Spies, which Ace had forgotten to watch out for when we was battling the inhabitants of the encampment. Ace was left off free because of his hatred for Orcs and because of the barfight he had gotten into almost half a year before. After the trial, Ace was put into a branch of paladins set on fighting against Orc raids, as well as leading raids against Orcs, which is where he hopes to rise the ranks in.

 

Personality Traits: Intelligent, Aggressive, Democratic, Impatient

Ambitions: To ascend the ranks of the Paladin group, set against Orcs, within the Reformed Oren Army

Strengths/Talents: Adept Craftsman, Good at Mounted Combat, Has a way with military officers, not affected as easily in cold climates

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Can not eat cake (Too much in those 2 months), Bloodthirsty, Hatred for Orcs
