Can't Join Server

Everytime I try to connect to the server, I always get a "Connection Failed, Disconnected" error or "Connection forcibly closed by host"

 

Anything to help? At the times I've tried to correct there were 100+ players, and I've tried 1.8.1 and 1.8.3

Turn off the setting to download the resource pack.

To do this, go to multiplayer, click on the server, click edit, and deselect the download resource pack option.

It doesn't work, I actually already had it disabled.  However, direct connecting does work
