Intro:

It was just a normal day within the walls of the Dwarves. The sound of hammers hitting iron from the blacksmithing quarters, the sounds of redstone blowing up in the face of tinkerers, and the sounds of the miners heading out to retrieve the glorious fruits the stone hoping to strike it big.

Though, one dwarf was not content. His name?

Lilum "Lili" Irongut

Or so, everyone thought.

The name, Lilum Irongut, has been known to many as a symbol of fun, hard working, loyal, and a yearning to do everything he can whenever he can. Though recently, after the construction of both Belka's Tear's and Yemekar's Shield dams, there was a change in him. It was not that of the usual joy and loudness he held close to him, no. There was more of a depressing air around him.

So, what does every depressed dwarf try to do? One where he or she thinks all is lost and wont have anything else to gain in their life?

Tell somebody.

Well, in actuality, he yelled it from the center of the inner city.

"Ahm goin' tuh kill mahself!"

Was what bellowed through the halls oh so many nights ago. Not many payed attention, thinking he finally went mad. Only few payed attention to his words, such as Ioannis, an elf of the King's Guard. He dragged him down from the boxes he was shouting on, asking of him if he had finally gone stark. Of course, Lilum didn't pay it any mind, still yelling he was going to kill himself.

Part 1: The Truth

Though, before he would do any such act, he saw Balek Irongut, Grand King of the Dwarves ride into the center on his trusty stead. There, it happened. He spilt it all, every lie that had come out from him, every lie he told ever since "Lilum Irongut" came back.

This dwarf's actual name?

Eachan

A name with no last, his family forbidding any form of title upon him if he were to meet any other Dwarf outside of their circle.

He continued to speak to Balek, telling him of how the real "Lilum Irongut" died. He also told him of how the real Lilum had divulged every bit of information about himself and those around him, describing everything with the greatest of details.

Part 2: The Beginning

He told Balek of how frightened and scared Lilum was when he first met him, of how he kept pulling his beard to make it seem like he was safe. Soon though, he stopped, and was talking with a great big smile that could be seen through his beard. The thought of being reminded of all of this brought tears to Eachans eyes.

Though now, came the most important part in all of this.

What actually happened to "Lilum Irongut"?

Eachan told Balek of how Lilum was looking for any temples nearby, to look into the history of the land and if it was a good place to meditate in to further connect to the void. Eachan told him of a temple close by, something his family and those he traveled with had found some time into traveling farther into Athera. He told of how a few of the party went in, but weeks later, none came out. Fearing that more would be lost, they stayed away, telling all those who came by not to go in.

Though, as Eachan told Lilum this, Lilum just put a fist to his heart and said something he would never forget,

"Ah meh beh afraid ove alo' ove t'ings, bu' ahm determined tuh see t'is t'rough! Ah will nae beh scared 'nd ah will conquer t'is dungeon!"

Part 3: Inside The Temple

After telling Balek this, small tears began formed at the edge of Balek's eyes, his heart struck by the words. Eachan continued on with the story, of how he agreed to come in with him, since he was also curious of the place. They traveled together, braving the depths of the ancient temple. There, he told Balek that the place seemed to look like Urguan's Hall from what the story Lilum told him. There were abandoned homes, forges that had gone cold, but there was still lava flowing. As they searched around the place, they came upon a huge door with three square holes.

At this point, Eachan was hesitant, not wanting to tell what happens next. Though, he looked back at Balek's face and saw something that spurred him back on. He then told Balek that they spent what they thought the next few days searching for these keys to open the door, in which they did. They found them on corpses of Dwed scattered around the place. When Lilum went to inspect each one, he said that they all seemed fine, there was no broken from what he could tell, so they shrugged it off, thinking that the place might have been filled with deadly gas or something at one point and time but dissipated. Some of the houses that were destroyed? Probably time eroding the stone.

Though, they were wrong. As they placed the keys into the lock, they pushed open the door. The sound of a huge door creaking open, one that may not have been properly worked on for some time filled their ears.

At this point in the story, the face of Eachan looked like a mix of seriousness and that of someone who had a sword to their throat.

What they both saw, Eachan said, was a huge atrium, one where the walls were made of rich materials. They were so captivated by it he said, that they did not see what was in the middle. All it took for them to notice, Eachan said, was a loud, synthetic scream.

Eachan decided to try to imitate it, to see if Balek would know it,

Others around who were not paying attention to the story, would have thought this Dwarf was high on green, but as he turned back to Balek, he just shook his head, not knowing who or what it could belong to. So, he continued on.

He said that after it let loose that shriek, he looked toward Lilum, who had the face of someone who was out for blood. He was surprised, thinking Lilum would probably faint from this, but he didn't.

Part 4: The End

Eachan asked Balek if he was prepared to hear his last words, and Balek just nodded his head,

He said,

"Jus' guh.... ah go' t'is. Nae tell mah clan ove t'is place, t'ey'll sureleh doi ef t'ey duh. Alsah.... tell em ah love em all, et was ah noice roide."

As Eachan described it, after that, in the darkened room, all he saw were the silhouettes of Lilum and a huge being, probably a golem. As he ran back out to close the door on Lilum, afraid if the monster ran out, he could kill everyone in the land. So, he as he used all of his strength to try and close it, the yelling and synthetic voice disappeared behind it. He described taking each key and throwing them randomly as he ran away.

As he ended the story, all he said was that he didnt run back home, no. He ran towards the direction of Hiebenhall, the place where Lilum described his clan to be. It was at this point, in all that non-stop running, that he decided to take Lilum's name, and create lies to keep his memory and self alive.

He lied about how his father was the great Ascended Hiebe.

He lied about how he received his dark skin, saying it was because of meditating in a coal mine.

He lied how he learned earth evocation all on his own during this trip.

So, as the story ends, Eachan fell to his knees. After telling this story, he felt like he could finally give up on it all, to finally die. Though, Balek wouldnt have this. He said to him,

"You lived for this kingdom, you were loyal to it, you showed love to everyone, and you may have our Irongut blood as well from all of this story, so live for yourself now, live for this kingdom as your new you."

With those parting words, Balek left.

Epilogue: Start of A New Adventure

A few days later now, after getting over this depression, Eachan decided what he must do. He went to Balek again, to tell him of how he would like to go back to this temple, to retrieve the body of Lilum and bring it back, and also kill whatever lays at the bottom of that temple. He said they can take a boat to get there quicker. Balek put some thought to it, and he agreed. Eachan said to make sure every dwarf was ready for this, since this could be a one way trip to many.

So now, in a few weeks, they travel on to the temple.

TL;DR:

-I wasnt actually playing Lilum, but someone who took his identity named Eachan, pronounced (Ee-k-an)

-Long story of how this all happened, including the real "death" of Lilum

-Context clues of how the event will go down in the story

-New event starting

OOC:

Event time ladies. Get ready. I will be needed a few event team actors if they are up for it to play a few characters, just message me.
