Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules):  No, they all are solid and make sense.  Though I sense there will be a lot of loopholes people abuse.

What is roleplaying?: Acting out a role, such as when one plays a character in the play, you must always remember, you however are not your character.  And thus be careful of blurred lines and getting over emotional.  An example would be an actor, goes to play Romeo in the play, or in our case, we take on different personas to play a character, that isn’t our self and work on developing them.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is acting on information you gain oocly.  Such as you may walk past, and see someone write something, however realistically you wouldn’t have known.  OR you hear someone talk about it when they are ooc, then you act on information, you have no right in having.  An example would be, you see a man in armor, and instantly call out that they are so and so, even though, realistically, armor is full plated, and if they had their helm down, you would never know the difference.

What is powergaming?:  Powergaming has a few different meanings, however all lead to one thing, they try to roleplay their character, or an event to a goal, without being realistic, and quite doing things impossible.  One is the act of attacking, or dodging without giving anyone a way to dodge, and auto hit.  This would be combat powergaming.  As such this is completely discouraged as it makes others irritable, and theres no way you would miss every attack, OR successfully strike.  Thus when role playing, you should always use TRY, or ATTEMPTS TO, even MOVES TO works, combat powergaming can also be referred to when someone takes damage that would realistically kill them, and they walk around perfectly.  NOW, a second way to power game is to do feats, impossible to realistically do, thus someone jumps 100 feet into the air, to grab onto a roof and climb up without any slip, or to submerge themselves under water for hours, and be just fine.  

 

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

Character’s name: Rella

Character’s gender: Female

Character’s race: Human

Character’s age: 17

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):  Born in Athera, in the town of Leuvaarden on the year of 1485 in the month of the amber cold, a young child was born to two humans.  She was female, their only child, her parents a butcher named Louis, and her mother Marie a housewife.  Rella grew up learning basic math to help with her father, who employed a halfling named Seamus Driftfoot, who was in his late teens or early twenties.  In her early years Rella was a handful, crying about everything, though over the years she would grow to be quieter, a young feeble woman, that had an eye for good cuts of meat.  Eventually her mother died of a plague, and her father continued to raise her with the help of the halfling.  

Seamus eventually took residence in the house, helping out, while Rella took on the house chores her mother left behind, tallying her father's books, sewing holes in his clothing, cooking meals, and tending the shop when he was gone.  Though her escape was quite often a book.  During the years she watched the undead threat from afar, as well as the rise and fall of the elven nation that quite recently fell to the humans.  Though she bore no love for the elves that quite often started fights with each other, and quite often would shed blood with their own kin, she bore no hatred towards them.  And she even watched the dwarves struggle under the might of her kinship.  Eventually her father was recruited into an army, and it left her and her halfling friend alone at the age of 16.  After a year of struggling Rella finally shut the shop, shortly after receiving a letter of regret and a small amount of money for her father dying.  She would make her way out, looking for a new place to live, and maybe, even a small adventure.

 

Personality Traits:  Rella is a calm female, with a curious temperament and a minor playful streak.  She doesn’t like violence and prefers to avoid getting involved in fights, she would also shirk away from her friends getting hurt and not stop it, as she is more a pacifist.  She bears no ill will to other races, though isn’t trusting of them either.  

Ambitions: Rella is quite lacking in these besides trying to find a place to settle, and find a way to fit into a world of bloodshed, tragedy, and death.

Strengths/Talents: Talents, she is able to read, write, and knows of cooking, and household chores, besides that, she is rather mundane, not knowing any talents besides what she learned in the shop.

Weaknesses/Inabilities:  This is quite lengthy, being unable to properly hold a weapon, not knowing magic, or knowing much of it, being naive of the world for the most part besides the human, and the wars she’s watched.  Unable to fight at all, being small and frail, her unwillingness to shed blood.  

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): A small 5’1 female with pale blond hair and blue eyes.  She weighs about 120.  Quite often she is caught in her short dress of pink and black, and her tall boots.
