Monster Manual For Athera

Hey guys, I figured since I wanted feedback on this idea that it should go here but if I'm wrong don't mind correcting me.

 

Anyways, getting to the meat of the subject I wanted to talk about the creatures and events for Athera. It kinda seems difficult to use a new monster for an event (like basilisks, giant moles, etc.) and so event teams use more mainstream animals/monsters for their events (giant snakes, bears, Lur wolves, etc) My thought and idea that i want feedback on is making a monster manual (like they do for D&D) to catalog the monsters with all their strengths, weaknesses, and attributes in one place so that it's not only easier for someone to find the monster they're looking for for an event, but maybe could even lead to more people to use their monster ideas since it's more organized and can allow people to branch off from the more mundane encounters.

 

So, what is your view on it? Has it already been tried? If so, what was the outcome of it last time.

No point of it, ET have the freedom to create whatever creature they wish to without it being approved. Also, this would be an ooc document which seems like it would serve no actual purpose to the entire community. If you really want your character to know about creatures, go find some.

Me and Shady_tales had worked on something like that a while ago but it was denied by the lore team for some reason. I think some people still use the unfinished works despite it being denied though, they can be found here. We never finished it since they were denied but we planned to do all of Athera and for it to be updated every now and then.

Lol no. That isn't the case anymore with ET being able to do what they want. At least that was the case my 2nd go around..maybe that changed.

Well, the idea would be that this could help an ET do what they want, with quick access monsters that are still detailed and fun to use.

  There is a section of various creatures in Athera in the Lore List with links to their respective lore, so I don't see how this is needed unless it is IC.

I was thinking of it being more compact, without whoever's browsing it having to look through each link to find a monster they want. People make really cool monsters that fit the events that ET are looking for, it just takes too much work to actually find it. That's where an abridged and compact compendium could help.
