Body Type: Short for an elf. She has wide hips, but very little in the way of a bust. Essentially pear shaped.

 

Eyes: Orange.

 

Hair: BRIGHT yellow.

 

Skin: Dark brown.

 

Markings/Tattoos: None.

 

Health: Good.

 

Personality: Pern is a fortune teller. Her trade requires her to keep up a veneer of mystery and mysticism. She puts up a good show, but very little is known about her actual personality. Pern seems to be the definition of a free spirit. She follows no rules or laws but her own. Pern eschews most of the conventions of formal society.She wanders wherever she feels like - sometimes just following the direction of the wind on a given day. Pern rarely carries money. She's flat broke 90% of the time. The other 10%, she carries just enough to buy food and water. Pern mostly sleeps outside under the stars - or in a cozy trash bin. She's often dirty and doesn't bathe until the smell starts to bother her. Pern simply exists - free of obligations, laws, or any constraints. And she seems to like it that way. 

 

When talking, Pern speaks whimsically and her words often don't make sense. Sometimes she speaks with an odd accent, other times she doesn't. Pern seems to do and say whatever she feels like at the moment. Pern floats gently through life as it were some kind of elaborate daydream. She is completely unaware of national boundaries or the current political climate. She pays no attention to risk or danger. She would happily wander through an orc camp or knock on the doors of the High Elves. 

 

People have often asked Pern if she is an aengul or a daemon. Pern always replies that she is but a simple wanderer trying to survive in this world.

History

 

If you ask Pern about her history, she will say that she grew - like a potato - in the ground and popped out of the earth fully grown. She may also claim that she was birthed from High Prince Native's brown beard hair. Pern may tell you that she is the love child of an Orc Rex and an Elven High Princess. Pern will tell you that she is the last member of an isolated elf tribe that lived deep in the southern jungles. Pern will tell you pretty much everything, except the truth.

 

The truth is that there is no truth. Pern has absolutely no memory of her childhood or family. Pern does not know who her parents are. She has no siblings to speak of nor any other relatives. Pern's earliest memories are of her already fully grown and wandering in the world. "Pern" is not her real name, but a chosen name she picked for herself.

 

Pern, likewise, does not know where she got her magic cards. During her earliest memories, she already had them. They are, more or less, an extension of her. Pern herself is not particularly magic - at least to her knowledge - but she is fully convinced that her cards are enchanted. She believes certain spirits or creatures use the cards to communicate with her and others. 

 

Pern continues her eternal wandering even to this day. She offers fortunes for a modest price. She never settles anywhere for more than a few days at most.
