The Wordsmith

I do not think I am eloquent

For my rhyme tends to be delinquent

I speak up and out, let my mind break out

And then my words begin to carry clout

For I am the Wordsmith and my hammer rings true

To tame hot steel and forge a weapon for you

Some say the pen is mightier than the sword,

I beg to differ

I believe in the word

the lord who wields the sword

For the blade cannot incite fury and rage

as words depict an adversary upon a page

If a word were to be personified

It’d be a orator.

Churchill, Stalin, Hitler, or Kennedy

Words have no moral subjugation

Right or Wrong

Black or White

Light or Dark

Words light the fire within our souls

and fill the hungrys’ food bowls

For I am the Wordsmith and my hammer rings true

Words are for me and words are for you.
