Republic of Salvus 118 Share Posted May 13, 2015 -Supplementary Music- As you gaze upon the Republic you see it bustling with people- city folk talking, trading, grabbing a drink at the tavern. It stands as a bastion of peace and opportunity, its architecture paying homage to the stylizations of the past capitals. This is the Republic of Salvus. -Credit to B0bby123- Full Album And so the citizens live life. The Inner Chamber and Outer Chamber amongst the diligent and hard working people of the city. The Bard's guild weaving tales of heroes past, singing their sweet melodies. The Institute workers scribbling away at their books, testing new theories. The Peacekeepers standing watch over the towns innocent people. The humble workers, the backbone of the Republic, grinding away at their daily duties, to not only make ends meet, but make a name for themselves. These are their stories.
Republic of Salvus 118 Author Share Posted May 13, 2015 A writing, taken from the journal of Magistrate Tahjeet Mubdee. "It has been about two Saint's Months since I have joined this magnificent Republic. I was selected by David Campos, an old friend, to join their council, the Inner Chamber. I was taken by a surprise that such a position was open to me, but as I look back, it is not as shocking. I am seasoned in dealings with Salvus, I was a Cardinal Cross member, and my uncle before me was a seasoned politician in Salvus, back in the days of Asulon. I am much more of a politician now, however, a Magistrate of Salvus. I deal with the law and uphold it. I make sure the Peacekeepers - those loyal bastards- are doing their jobs right, keeping an eye on them but also having a swig or two in those late night card games. It is relaxing in the south, warm with friendly faces, but behind each cheery smile is a determined being all in search of something greater, Enlightenment. Whether the means to Enlightenment are through economics, knowledge, or skill, that desire is always there. Salvus has grown massive in the past few days. It brings a smile to my face, makes me think the future that is a bright, and Salvus will be the pinnacle civilization. We have big plans for Salvus and I hope Athera can witness our rise."
Republic of Salvus 118 Author Share Posted May 21, 2015 From the journal of Warden Dreadric Kalis I often ask myself why, why would we go to such lengths to forge a new nation. But then I remember.David and I had a plan to build a city so that the Salvian people may come back and live in peace, to allow a place of safety, freedom and glory. We began by stocking materials to build the walls, the keep and the houses. And we then went forth and built, I spent long hours toiling away moving things brick by brick, stone by stone, to create something marvelous. Along our way we to building this nation we came across new faces. We met Menithrian, he was a good person with a good heart, a person who you can trust. He was an excellent man who could replace my role in Salvus. Idealistic, yet level headed, always striving for perfection. Unfortunately my age caught up with me and I needed to rest my old bones, and I passed this word onto David, telling him I must break from this life. After some Elven years I came back from my rest and I could see that the city had grown, it now bustling with excitement. I could see that the people within the town found Salvus and lived here for its ideals and the greatness it offers. But I believe there are people who do not like the ideas of Salvus for reasons unknown to me and many. They try to kill our people, but we resist. It is a shame to see such unneeded slaughter. Which is why I decided to stand up against those people by joining the peacekeepers. I asked my old friend Tahjeet if I could become a warden, to run the jail and he accepted. It’s quite a boring job in honesty, but it allows me to do my part to the Republic and further its mission.
