Arteh 1837 Share Posted May 14, 2015 The Kheshig The Kheshig is an elite fighting force of the Rex that act as a personal guard as-well as an elite military unit of the Rex. Dedicated solely to the Rex their loyalties remain always with the Rex. They would always be by the Rex's side. They live and die for the Rex that they serve. Every Rex has his own Kheshig that are loyal to him and him only. The Kheshig's are bound by blood to protect and serve the Rex. A sacred blood-sacrifice is made with an Elder Shaman present, the Spirits pay custom to this and oversee the blood-oath fulfilled. The Kheshig's say the following Oath while the blood sacrifice is made: "Ang Gijak-Ishi Mirdautas vras Mabaj bot ob armauk Mirdautas vras Afar Vadokanuk Afar Angathfark" The Kheshig forget all past loyalties to their Clans, to their Elders and everything else. They bound themselves with blood to the Rex with the spirits as their witness during the sacred blood-sacrifice. If a Kheshig was to betray this oath he would suffer from a curse that would haunt him for the rest of his years, aswell as be branded on the forehead with a circle mark, forever whitewashing them from the Orcish society. The role of the Kheshig is not only to protect the Rex, but to carry out elite tasks for the Rex. The Kheshig comprise of some of the best warriors from the Uzg and the most loyal. The Kheshig also acts as a splinter military unit that carries out certain tasks during battles.
