What is roleplaying?: Putting yourself in something else’s shoes to experience life from their point of view.

What is metagaming?: Using knowledge your character wouldn’t have access too in roleplay

What is powergaming? Using powers your character wouldn’t have access too or be able too do like being a normal human being then suddenly throwing a man through a wall with no cause of having strength to do so, or flying with having no magic or powers to give you the ability.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

Uhtred was the 8th son out of 10 children. His sister was the only one younger than him. His parents cared nothing for Uhtred and kicked him out when he was almost ten. He learned to make himself a small bow from some sinew he stole and some branches he found. He learned to hunt small animals. He ate enough of the meat to keep him full, and left the rest on the doorstep of his home, because he knew his family never had enough to eat, and sold the pelts in the market. He saved some of the money and spent his nights in the tavern with a man who found him hunting in the woods, and agreed to help him learn to use a better bow. The man always tried to convince Uhtred to slow down and think through situations like when he had his foot caught in a snare trap, but Uhtred just wiggled around and got mad at the man when he didn't help him and yelled at him. The man left uhtred there with a knife and his bow and told him to meet him at the tavern. When Uhtred calmed down he thought through his situation. He swung himself over to the base of the tree and grabbed the base of the snare trap and sawed at it with his knife till he cut through it and fell. There were many more situations like this which Uhtred would get mad and do the first thing that came to his head. The man would always have Uhtred think through his situation after and have uhtred tell him what he did wrong. When Uhtred had saved enough money from selling the pelts and left over meat, he bought a longbow that was stained black and used it to hunt bigger game. He kept giving meat to his family secretly through his sister. One night drinking in the tavern when he was nearly twenty his oldest brother ran into the tavern screaming.

    The farm was on fire, and being raided. Uhtred, without thinking, grabbed his bow and ran to the farm but he got there too late. As he reached for an arrow to fire at the fleeing raiders he realized he had forgotten them in the tavern. He began to dig through the rubble and found the bodies of his parents and this other 6 brothers. All dead. He and his Only living brother buried them all. Uhtred’s brother gave him the only heirloom left, his fathers sword, a simple blade with no special design, and blunted over the years. Uhtred promised his brother he would search for their sister whose body was never found. He traveled the road for a long time following any path of the bandits he could. The an who helped him learn to hunt traveled with him for some time. They would always find the cold fires of the bandits until one day they stumbled upon a raid. The two men hid in the bushes watching the raid. Uhtred jumped out of the bushes, pulled back his bow, and launched an arrow without thinking. The man cursed himself and jumped next too him. The two men launched arrows at the bandits who were now chargin towards them. They took almost all of them out, but one managed to get close enough and cut down the man who taught uhtred to hunt.  Uhtred pulled his sword and stabbed it into the mans horse, then cut the mans throat as he struggled to get up. As Uhtred looked over the land he saw nothing left of the village besides screaming peasants. He searched for the bandit's camp in the woods. When he found it he saw his sister. She had been kept a prisoner. When he free'd her she hugged him. They talk for many hours about life with bandits and hunting the bandits. He took her home as soon as he buried his old friend. Their brother had built a small shack and had started re plowing the farm. He left her there and is now traveling the road seeking companions and riches using his bow.

 

Personality Traits: Headstong, clever, no patience, quick to anger.

Ambitions: lead a small band of men, and get rich.

Strengths/Talents: Good with a bow, Clever, good strategist

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Doesn’t think things through very often, low endurance for running and hand to hand combat.
