Character’s name: Brock Mannering Character’s gender: Male Character’s race: Highlander Character’s age: 30 Biography : I was born in a peaceful mountain village away from the troubles of Athera. My father was the village blacksmith and my mother was a chef. My father raised me as his apprentice and taught me all he knew. My mother taught me the virtues of life. In 1498, Oren troops came to our village looking for fresh recruits to join them in the war with the elves. My dad was the first to join their ranks. My mother cried for days once he left, it was then up to me to carry the family. Day and night I worked to support my family. A few years later in 1505, my father returns scarred from the horrors of war. My father forged 2 swords for us to train with for the next conflict. We trained during my father's free time during the work days. During the year 1506, bandits ransacked our village, taking what they pleased. I tried to fight back, but they hopelessly outnumbered us. They tied me and and carted me out of the village with a few other boys from our village, They put us to work in the mines and had us chop down trees. Eventually I gained the respect of the bandits. One night while everyone slept, I ran from the slave camp as fast as I could. Soon I became lost and followed a road away from my troubles.
