What is roleplaying?: Taking on the view and life of a fictional character that you made up and then using that character to play from their perspective instead of your own and reacting and acting as they would and not how you would.

In-Character Information

 

Character’s name: Slythe Seran

Biography  : Slythe was born on his family's farm his father mainly worked as a blacksmith and had a small workshop nearby in which he worked most days trying to produce weapons and armour to sell in the market. Slythes mother looked after the other children and generally helped with the farm work as well with Slythes two aunts and uncles.
The children that were on the farm worked hard to produce the food that they need to survive but the many people who were on the farm helped greatly in this regard.
Slythe spent most of his time when he wasn't working around the farm helping his father with the forge as he was eager to learn how to make great master pieces like his father. 

As Slythe got older he was allowed more time away from the farm to work with his father in the market, there he met many different races and was even looking into getting apprenticeship with a local blacksmith but he ended up not going with it. Eventually Slythe reached Elven Adulthood and he had to make his way in the world, the blacksmith he wanted to join up with had gone off somewhere else and Slythe had to take up manual labour as a mason when he could get the work or as a carpenter when he couldn't find any work as a mason.

After about 20 years of solid working he eventually decided to up and leave the town, leaving his small cottage on the edge of town. Slythe travels took him to many places afterwards, for some time he lived in a Dwarven City studying architecture that a local dwarven scholar had collected while he worked on helping to repair and expanded the city. Slythe even for a good couple of years worked with one of his distance uncles as a shipwright though he wasn't a master Slythe managed to get by as one. Slythe was pretty interested in how the Dwarves made their cities due to how easy to defend they were and the limitless expansion that one could have underground but the dwarven architecture was the few types he studied.

Slythe after this set up at his own plot of land desiring somewhere to live alone in study for awhile, there Slythe continued his passion of farming and even smithed for himself though he would often go into town to get some good tools from the local blacksmiths who were pretty much better than himself as he had a improper set up.
Slythe grew a small amount of crops on his farm, enough to live by at least. Slythe mainly read books and studied parchments, it was a pretty lonely existence. Slythe didn't mind however as was completely fine with being alone.

Slythe after a great while felt bored of his cottage, he had read all his books and he overlooked parchments a great times over, Slythe decided that it was for the best he set out again to explore the world, after what seemed like many years he found himself in the lands of Athera.

Personality Traits: Slythe is on occasion unwelcoming to strangers but not outright hostile towards them. Slythe harbours a deep respect for those in power and the power they wield. Slythe is distrusting of drunkards and lazy types due to his strong work ethic. Slythe is mostly silent due to the years he has spent alone and could be considered anti-social by other people. Slythe is well mannered and generally neutral in most affairs unless it concerns money.
 

Ambitions: To get more land than he could shake a stick at, occur enough wealth to swim in it like scrooge duck and to get enough weapons and artifacts to cover a city in. All reasonable goals of course.
 

Strengths/Talents: Slythe is a pretty hard worker and studies hard and is willing to work. Slythe is also skilled in a wide variety of non-combat skills.
 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Slythe has no formal training in combat due to not being a soldier of any kind or coming from a noble house.
 

Appearance : Slythe stands at 6'1 with a muscular toned body, he weighs roughly 140lbs. Slythe hair is kept in a war mohawk which would be strange for the type of elf he is. Slythes eyes are crimson red while the rest of his face seem relatively untouched and his beard is mainly clean shaven for the most part. Slythes clothes are rather simple too, consisting mainly of hardened leather on his chest and the rest mainly consisting of toughened fur and cloth.
Slythe mainly remains clean when he hasn't been working in a attempt to keep some sort of look better than others.
