A man wearing a thick black beard rallies women and children around a large bonfire, lanterns flicker about in the cold dark of the Vailoran beach, the great journey to the lands of Vailor had taken a terrible toll on the civilians as they shivered about in wet clothes. The captain lit a lantern, as he slowly placed it on a log he began speak. "Women and children, man or soldier, rally around this e're night for a story of a man and his crew who be damned to this day." "Once upon a time, there was a man named Tharion. Tharion was a man of the sea, his love lay in the ocean just as much as the land itself. He and his crew of thirty-six men all sought out adventure wherever they could find it, always seeking the thrill of the sea by giving their services to whomever it may be. They were pirates, swashbucklers, buccaneers if you will. On one faithful day Tharion met the love of his life, the beauty was called Faeriel. Faeriel was the kindest most loving elven beauty in aegis or so thought Tharion. Tharion and Faeriel quickly fell in love and began to sail the seas together. Through storms to calm waters to even the ends of the world, they saw the world together with Tharions crew...until the day Aegis was invaded by the undead..." "Tharion could not bear to see his beloved's land be torn asunder and so he and his crew fought back the darkness, together they alone attempted to protect the many ports allowing the survivors of Aegis to escape to Asulon...but in doing so his precious Faeriel fell to the undead. Tharion wept, his sadness could not be contained and so in a final act of sadness he tore his own heart out and cast it into the deep darkness of the ocean. The undead were vile and merciless and would not allow him peace in death, the undead slaughtered his remaining crew and put a end to the captain's peace in death." "For abandoning life, and succumbing to sadness the undead cursed him to sail the seas for all eternity as a ferry man for all those who died at sea. Never would Tharion nor his crew know peace and in a act of vengeance he sailed the seas looking for lives to steal to this day." As the story finishes a massive grey ship can be seen far away from the coast, blue lights flickered about it as a cold mist seeps around the beaches.
