What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is when you play as a made-up character. (Usually in games)

What is metagaming?: Using knowledge that you know out of game to use to your advantage. Example: John new the enemies were behind the barricade out of game and used that to his advantage.

What is powergaming?: Doing something in RP that your character is incapable of. Example: John had just started out as a new character yet he said that his character had the ability to fly.

 

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

Character’s name: Tydus Dayton

Character’s gender: Male

Character’s race: Human (Heartlander)

Character’s age: 22

 

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Tydus grew up in a very average environment. His father was a merchant and his mother stayed at home to raise him. He was a very bored child. This caused him to be depressed. He had no fun at school or at home. After school he would lie in his bed for hours and stare at the ceiling. When Tydus was 16 the giant worm attacked the continent. He refused to leave the house while people were evacuating. He thought there was nothing left in his life. This caused his father to start screaming at him. This angered Tydus so much he punched his father in the face. He had never felt so alive. He then sprinted out of the house and left the continent without his parents. After he got to Vailor he realised he had nowhere to live. He started crying desperately. How could he leave his parents like that?

He tried contacting them in every possible way. He could not find them. He had to start sleeping in alleys with nothing but a small blanket. He remembered what happened when he punched his father. Violence became the one thing that made Tydus happy. He started to train to fight because of this. He thought if he became a good enough fighter he could become a bandit and earn some money. But Tydus had very little training equipment. He had a wooden knife and a pair of old gloves that he found. Tydus would mug people that weren’t very threatening that would walk in his alley way. Occasionally the person would fight back, but when that happened he would pull out his shank and they would run away. Eventually Tydus earned enough cash to buy a real dagger and some real armour and clothes. That’s when he started earning more money. He mugged more people and found more alleys to do it in. He now owns a very small house in the outskirts of Felsen.

 

Personality Traits: Violent, He isn’t very emotional, He only feels happy when he is being violent. (These traits are due to his depression.)

Ambitions: To become a successful bandit, regain happiness

Strengths/Talents: Swift, Good at dual-wielding daggers

Weaknesses/Inabilities: He is not very proficient with big swords, unemotional
