The New Sultan

Today, in Allah’s year of One thousand, Five hundred, and Seventy-four (1574), the Great and Honorable Arlen Kharadeen becomes Sultan. This has been ordered so by the Magnificent Caliph Faiz Kharadeen of the Kharadeen family, Caliphs of the Caliphate of Khalestine.

 

As of now, Sultan Arlen’s words are law, as are the Caliph’s. In case of conflict between orders, listen to the Caliph’s word, above all.

 

In religious matters, the Sultan cannot speak; The topic of religion is left to the Imam(s) and the Caliph.

 

In all other matters, follow the Sultan’s orders as you would those of the Caliph. Only if the Caliph explicitly orders you do not, you must continue to obey the Sultan.

 

Anyone found to be violating or undermining the Sultan’s power shall be punished accordingly.

 

Allah Bless the Sultan,

Adil grins and holds up his hand as news of his friends promotion gets around the city of Al Wakrah. "Subhanallah! Glory to Sultan Arlen Kharadeen! May peace be upon him for many years to come." he'd smile, wandering off to find Arlen himself.
