Dredge Gure makes his way into the snowy realms of the north. Being a long and hardened veteran of the cold weather, he brings along with him the essentials to survive. He grabs his large Elven skull helmet which has been laced with leather and the fur of a wolf to keep warm. He slips it over his head. He packs his fishing gear, plenty of food, clothing and a way to make fire into a small rucksack as he sets off from his home in Oren.

He catches many rides from the multiple horse and buggies before they let him off at the edge of the snowy northern states. He hikes for many miles before reaching the mountains as his elevation slowly gains. The air begins to grow thin as he crests his first mountain to see something in the short distance.

He heads inside the hole, shoveling what little snow appears to block his path out of the way.

He finds himself within a cave. He begins to head into the cave as he can see a faint light source near the bottom. What could it be?

As he rounds the corner at the bottom of a cave, he finds a small shrine which appears to have the markings of iblees carved into it. It appears someone has been doing some very odd things since his last visit to the north. He steps closer to the alter as he does not notice the taint which seems to be on the floor. He steps onto it a few times before looking down and scaring himself from the substance that appears to resemble nothing he has ever seen before. Even when he was living with a lot of folk in Anthos and Athera, he has never come across such a substance on the ground. He quickly turns on his heels as he runs out of the cave. He goes to mark the spot on his map as he treads on through the snowy mountains through the night. Though, he'd be constantly looking back to see if someone might have followed him since his departure from the cave.

Not long after he finds himself another cave which appears to be man made. It has clearly been made into some sort of resting point for another weary traveler as he stands outside the new cave. By this point, Dredge is cold and has found himself soaking wet from the snow and sweat of having to carry all his supplies.

He heads inside as he can clearly still see a very vibrant and healthy fire within. As he walks inside he cant help but notice the odd fire which appeared to have been lit fairly recently and the skins of many animals which lay on the floor.

He would take off his rucksack and sit it next to the wall. He would walk up to the fire and proceed to get comfortable by wrapping himself in the furs that appeared to have been left behind for warmth. He sleeps through the night and into a very early morning... Or so he thinks.

He wakes up and grabs a hold of his rucksack and throws it onto his back. He lays the palms of his hands over the fire for a few seconds for some last minute heat and he grabs a few spare skins to help keep himself warm for his next hike through the mountains. He leaves the cave with his newly gathered supplies and sets off on another trip.

He hikes up and down the mountains all day long before stopping at an iced over cave. He notices that it appeared to have an entrance, yet it is sealed shut. He does not think much of it and moves on.

As he continues his hike through the mountains, he comes across a ruin at the peak of one hill. He makes his way up the steps.

As he reaches the top, he notices it is nothing and makes his decision to quickly leave the ruin. It has no significance to himself.

Not too far away on top of a hill, he suddenly feels a rush of cold air blowing by his face. The winds begin to howl as they pick up with speed and the snow begins to pound harder onto him. He toughens his way through the snow as it quickly becomes a snow storm. Dredge now only able to see a few feet in front of himself heads down a hill. He trips on a rock and begins to slide, losing some of his fishing poles and his animal furs from the previous cave he stayed at. He slides down the hill and abruptly stops at the edge of a cliff. As he wipes his eyes with his gloves, he'd brush off his skull mask to make sure he wasn't seeing some sort of illusion. The snow storm begins to fade fast but the wind stays at its staggering pace. As the snow clears, he sees exactly what he almost fell into.

He thinks it to be some sort of sacrificial pit. He quickly pushes himself from the ledge and heads the other direction. His travels lead him to what appeared to be some sort of small town tucked into the mountains of the north. He crests the mountain to get a better look at a large house that overlooks a quarry.

As he goes down into the quarry to get a better look at the large statue, he looks to his left then to his right. He quickly notices an entrance into the mountain side like the last couple he has encountered. He decides to take a peak inside the cave but is hesitant to enter.

As he looks down the cave system which appears to be littered with lights and multiple entry points, he decides not to go any further. His recent run-in with the iblees shrine has made him hesitant to be adventurous into dark caves. He exits the cave system.

He instead heads back up the mountain side pathway that lead him into the quarry. He looks to the first house he saw when he crested the mountain and walks up to the opened door.

He walks inside thinking there would be someone there.

Instead he finds an empty home with a hearty fire and lots of rugs. He makes his decision to stay within the home for the next few days in hopes someone whom owns this house might come by and give him information on this city. He heads over to the door of the house and shuts it firmly to stop the cold drafts that continue to howl past the home. He sets up a small makeshift bed out of old rugs that laid around the room next to the fire and tosses his rucksack off to the side. He feels safe... for now.
