Within the Capital of Kal’Akash, dwarves gathered in the city square, eager to hear the words of the candidates, one of whom would ascend to the position of Grand King. Among a moderate sized entourage stood Uldar of Clan Irongut, his head kept tall as he ascended onto the podium. He took a moment to survey the audience; a place filled with members of clans such as the Grandaxes, Irehearts, Ironguts, and Frostbeards, among others. All looked upon his visage as he begun to deliver with ease and comfort, projecting his voice across the vast avenues of the city.

“Fellow countrymen, citizens, and patriots, we gather here today in the hopes to find a worthy Grand King. Shared amongst these aspirants for the Throne, one which our sacred ancestors have sat upon time and time again, is a common goal - to bring the Grand Kingdom to its feet once more. Numerous years have transpired since the rebellion and our nation still remains shattered, with a government scarcely able, our capital desolate, our fields barren, and our defenses vacant. We live in a time where our survival lies in the balance -- something almost entirely dependent upon this election -- and thus it is paramount that our Grand King is capable of leading us.

I put forth myself as someone who will lead Urguan through the dark times that plague us, and unto one reminiscent of the exalted Kings of yore.  Our enemies grow in strength every day we remain idle, and we as a country are growing feeble. Now, more than any other time, is when we must act. Provided the opportunity, I will fixate upon the reconstruction of our government, military, culture, and economy. This will be done through a series of revisions which shall be dubbed the Royal Reforms. The design of above-mentioned changes would be to restore activity and unity amongst our nation, something we have lacked for quite some time. Yet such is not conceivable alone, and therefore I will take it upon myself to work closely with each and every clan to assure we reach this end.

Should we let our strength diminish, those who wish to pilfer our riches and lands will once more appear. Let us stand as one unbreakable bulwark against those who seek to dismantle Urguan. We may be few, and our foes many. Yet so long as there remains those of us still loyal,  those who still fight in the name of justice and truth, then by Yemekar, the Grand Kingdom shall yet know hope.”

"I'd prefer a dwarf I know more intimately on the throne, but you have my vote kinsman. Should you manage to be elected, I do 'ave some ideas for administrative reform that you may like" states Bael "Also can we build a wall to keep the snelves out?"
