The Company [In Progress, wanted to 'save']

Introduction

The Company is a loosely organized crime syndicate that promotes the redistribution of wealth straight to their own pockets. Those who are invited to the groups next heist will be recruited by the head of the organization and will play an integral role in their current mission. They are not petty thieves or cut throats, they seek to gain large sums of money or valuables through illegal actions. These acts can range from ripping off a caravan shipment, to breaking into a bank and even go as far as kidnapping if the money is right and the plan is solid. Their actions are carefully planned and well thought out.

Architecture

The bulk of the organizations planning will be done at a manor called Beggar's Haunt. It is a seemingly abandoned buildings, with plants and moss growing over the dust covered windows. The building would seem abandoned to an outsider looking in, apart from the torches that remain lit on the exterior of the home. I'll be going into more detail in the lore section up next as that has primarily to do with the home and I even built a model of it and I was going to use schematica to help me apply it to a location. Here is just an overview of the home.

Objective

The objective of this group like I've said in the introduction is to gain wealth through well planned out robberies on buildings, banks, etc. The goal outside of that is to provide a fun interactive villain type role-play for different towns among all of the nations. This group would not specifically target any faction. This is meant to be a fun experience on both sides of the fence, for the robbers and the victims. The groups main goal will be to pick prominent locations where money or other valuables are held, such as a bank or possibly a well guarded home. After they have chosen a location they will begin planning out and setting up the heist. This phase can include recruiting explosive experts, bribing certain officials, getting a layout of the building so on and so forth.

Hierarchy

At the top of this organization is a mysterious individual, he is commonly referred to in less savory circles as the King of Beggar's. Some say it started as a rumor guards would tell young recruits to get them riled up and ambitious, others say it was just a joke laughed about at tavern's. Most people agree with the latter seeing as a King of Beggar's is very ironic of a name, but I assure you this man exists.

Underneath him is no one. There are no other leaders of the group and if there were none of them would ever come forwards. To do so would be jeopardizing your own safety along with the other members of the crew. The king is a fair man though, he gives each man or women, he doesn't discriminate, their cut. An even split between all members and not a coin less.

Events

The events this group will partake it may be a bit more involved than other groups on the server. Since the primary focus of the group is to burglarize specific prominent targets the role-play should, and will be much more in-depth than most villainous actions such as murder, mugging etc. Most likely the group will need help clearing certain obstacles that they might not have permissions to do so. This mean that some sort of moderator will need to be provided for some of the groups actions. These events will be planned out and dates will be handled out of character. I expect to be able to communicate with the victims before hand and explain what we will be doing. I would like to pick times where more people can get involved and where it will work out with everyone's time schedule.  Our group would never commit a grandiose heist while important players aren't online.

My plan on how to setup these heists out of character will be as follows. I would like suggestions on this part as how to make the system function more smoothly!

Step 1: Contact a staff member through a PM on this forum asking permission to do a certain act.

Step 2: Create a post on the Race Role-play section that correlates to where the heist will be taking place. (Example; Robbing a human bank I make a post in the Human forums). This post will contain OOC and lore material for the heist.

Step 3: Contact the owner of the land/valuables that we will be attempting to steal. Choose a few dates and times where they will be available to protect whatever we may steal. (The victim will have no knowledge of what we are trying to steal just that we are going to steal something. This means we may contact the King of the Dwarfs that he is going to be robbed, but he will not know exactly where or what is going to be taken) This attack can happen on ANY of the  dates provided. (This is to ensure that there is no meta-gaming or player stacking)

Step 4: Execute Event.

All of these events will have sufficient role-play behind them each heist beginning at

Step 1: Selecting Target

Step 2: Crafting an attack strategy

Step 3: Recruitment

Step 4: Execution (Possibly a double meaning here)

Out of Character

When applying to be a member of a crew there are a few things you must keep in mind. First off, I will only be recruiting for the roles that I provide in the post, but that doesn't mean I won't keep you in mind if another event comes up, so please feel free to reply with your details if interested. I would like all applicants to apply in a format like this.

Johnny arrives at the temple docks of Vailor, aboard a foreign trading ship, the sound of hulking men shouting and strolling about aboard the ship can be heard from the shore, finally putting the ship to land, the now very tanned Visconti climbs out from the ships cellar, smelling of rum, whiskey and all sorts of unfamiliar and foreign foods and spices, wearing nothing but a pair of cream breaches and a strange looking garment on his head, the man is dirty, both clothes and body as if he had not had a good wash for quite some time, he waits for the sailors to put down a wide plank so that the traders can take their commerce from the ship and onto several nearby carts, Johnny waits for two bulky foreign humans to carry a large crate of spices of the ship, then proceeds after them and onto the shore, taking in a deep breath of air, cracking a smile as he does so.

"Damn, almost forgot how dull this speck of land smelt... Well... It's no sunny tropical land with exotic women and some even more exotic sexual tendencies even I find offputting, but it's home."

This man was once a hardened criminal, young, brazen and somewhat intelligent, at least smart enough to have saved up most of his easy earned minas to have an early retire to a foreign land that satisfied all desires, not the worst of retirement homes by any means, what you see before you now is a man that has aged somewhat well, hairs beginning to grey, his face not as smooth and full of life as it used to be, instead replaced by light wrinkles and crows feet, his lumberjack build still remaining loyal to him, his usually happy and enlightened look still upon his face, almost makes one wonder why he came back.

Character name: Johnny

Discernible Skills: Lockpicking, fist fighting, silvertongued, natural born criminal recently out of retirement, good gambler, lightweight alcoholic, self proclaimed criminal mastermind.

Role Applying for: Planner/teacher/advisor.

Relevant background: Born to humble begginings in the slums of Abresi, tought to fight and steal at a young age, got in with a gang of humble gentlemen, engulfed the city in a gang war between a rival group, disbanded in the fringe when war then engulfed the land between the humans and dwarves, Johnny joined the Orenian army for a while for the duration of the war, soon deserting, joining a group of killers, thieves, kidnappers and sociopaths called the Black Hand, from then on his life went through that of turmoil, also joining the group that he once fought against, tried for treachery by his own gang, the Black Hand, coming to a forced deal that he would spy for them in the other group called the Red Tide, many killings, beatings, kidnappings, robberies went by with the years, agreaments between nobles and at a time even a king and queen, Johnny's life was full of dishonest actions, back-alley agreements between nobles and thugs, a life that Johnny loved, but though he loved it with all his heart, he began to come to a realisation as all of the people around him, men and women he called friends and even family were being killed one by one, hung, tortured, stabbed in the back, this was not an end Johnny saw fit for a man of his stature, so with what minas he had he paid for his early retirement, travelling to a distant land where he did many unmentionable things, however, certain traditions in this strange land were unkown to Johnny, and so he was chased out of the land, struggling to find a captain generous enough to take him back to Vailor, after days of hiding from the lands now angry natives, he found a trading ship with quite a jolly captain, a man that had at least one thing in common with Johnny, a good relationship with a fine bottle of scotch, and so he found his way back to his homeland and set off on his way to make a living, honest or not.
