Letters bearing the seal of a merchant are sent to every noble vassal of the Empire, once opened the recipient would read the following.

 

“Dear Lordship,

 

In an effort to instate affordable yet beneficial taxes, we ask of you to send records of your population, your most common produce, your average harvest and the size of your bannerforce.

We will take your numbers into consideration and calculate suitable taxes for yourself, complaints may be voiced within three saint’s days after the publication of the new taxes.

 

The forging of these records will be seen as tax evasion and fraud, a risk not worth taking.

Resources: Very few. There is an extensive mine, but the farmland, woodland, and craftsmen are all of poor quality. There is also a large amount of underground volcanic activity, though, and thus lava is abundant.

Harvest: Unknown. The existing farm is in the process of destruction and new farmland is being cleared and constructed.
