What’s the rule you agree with the most?: I agree with the rule against cyber-bullying and discrimination. I think it is noble to promote civil internet interactions here.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): In terms of pedophilia, necro, etc: can a character possess these flaws and can these acts be implied to have happened without the acts ever having been RP'd? Or are the subjects entirely off limits in every way? For instance, if you were indicting someone who was actually innocent and wanted to arouse mob justice could you accuse the character of these things or do you have to find something else to accuse them for?

What is roleplaying?: Using a persona to create action in a narrative context. To me roleplay is about making interesting events happen for everyone, not something only you like.  

What is metagaming?: Using knowledge gained out of character to influence RP actions. Like reading someone’s application without meeting their character and then greeting them by name.

What is powergaming?: Assuming absolute influence over a situation or not letting other characters affect your actions or their outcomes. It is to say what you do is absolute and perfectly executed with no chance of failure or apprehension.

 

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

“Take a bite,” he’d said, leaning in close with the apple in hand, poised just in front of their mouth, a dimple of light reflecting off its shiny golden surface. The surrounding air began to grow hot. It was not supposed to be like this; a servant’s royal duty forbid that, commanded virtue. The Silver Enclave had already given them a chance despite the darker skin tone. If anyone found out this would be a serious betrayal to the Haelun'or which Imartia swore their heart to. But he continued on with a convincing touch, until no thoughts could be formed and memories supplied to fight against it. Imartia bit into the apple.

It was a 50/50 shot, to be sure, but it had worked--the now sleeping body slumped to the floor. The wood elves would thank him for this necessary evil. Rebellion would come soon but not soon enough to recover from the information this one had come to acquire--if they had been able to deliver it. So it was nothing after all. The future now seemed secure, and perhaps he would even be selected for the new position that had opened up in the last few minutes. Infiltration would be made much easier with that convenience. He thanked the Gods no violence was necessary and spent the night arranging transportation to move the poor soul somewhere safe out of the state.

Imartia slept in a dreamless sleep spellbound by the effects of the golden apple. It no longer mattered: the journey from Thales to Athera and the servant’s education in strict schools almost from birth. Friendships, animosities, successes, failures--they all seemed to have melted away and given to slumber. When Imartia awoke, it was at the Cloud Temple in Vailor, many years later. The monks in Athera had upon receiving the body acted as if it was dead. For years Imartia laid in a tomb. When the Isles of Vailor were chartered and the new Cloud Temple was constructed Imartia was received in the same varnished black box, unchanged except for the slight decomposition of clothing. After a couple decades in silence Imartia finally woke up without any memory, but that would have been expected. They were whispered their name, and were left to stumble out of the temple and into the golden sunlight’s gaze.

[For the record no sex happened because I know that’s against the rules--but there was some PG-13 PDA goin’ on in whatever corner that was.]

Ambitions: discover life in an unknown place, gain a position of service once again (natural ambition, although no memory of past dealings)

Strengths/Talents: good chance of being able to calm someone down, duelist with high potential, unable to be intimidated in most cases, thoughtful judge, can read, able to develop circuitry

Weaknesses/Inabilities: gets sick from eating meats, can’t remember hardly anything, difficulty remembering new facts and names after so long, highly susceptible to all effects of magic and potions

-Your character's sex is not their gender, but their natural sex (Ie, what parts they were born with). Please select a sex or clarify exactly what you mean by 'neutral.'

-Your bio could use a tad bit more server lore. I'd suggest naming what village Revil was originally cast out of. That would be sufficient to satisfy the server lore requirement.

-Just in case you weren't aware, you can't learn any magic in your backstory. You don't explicitly mention if Revil does or doesn't, but it's somewhat implied. Make sure Revil doesn't start out with any knowledge of druidic magic, you must learn that in Rp.

-If I'm reading this right, your backstory is implying that Imartia was an important person in Haelun'or, (One of Kalenz Uradir's advisers I think?), before the uprising. If so, that's not unfortunately not permit able. Interacting with existing events/lore in a major way, and especially interacting with existing characters, is not permitted, as it is sort of a form of powergaming/metagaming. (You weren't actually there so you know things you didn't learn in rp. Also, if you don't have the consent from the person playing the character you reference to reference that character, you are forcing Rp actions upon them). It's also not allowed to make your character start out generally important, ie, you can't have been from a royal family in your background, or a nation's top adviser, etc.

-Also, something to note. Once you are accepted, you can create and destroy characters at your leisure. The only character backstory we ever require from you is the one that gets you accepted. Whilst this was a very well written backstory, it is somewhat unnecessary. You could have simply altered the previous one by adding one more lore piece, gotten accepted, then created this character or any other character you wanted. Regardless, this backstory is unfortunately incompatible with the rules, as I stated above, so you'll have to edit your app with a new bio.
