Failed to verify username

I changed my username a few minutes ago, tried logging into lotc quite a few times now and it keeps popping up with 'failed to verify username', my old username was colaone1, my new one is JeffreyNiceJoint.

You have to change the account information in the profile section before you launch minecraft, in the startup screen.
