advice New user after lurking for more then a year.

Hi, my name is Kal'Duriun or pancho_villa_m

I joined the server yesterday after briefly RPing during the first months of Anthos and lurking on the forums for over a year and decided to push myself to become involved with this amazing community. I really am struggling with getting involved with the whole interaction with other players, I type reasonably fast and don' have to much social difficulty but I'm struggling to find the RP that I hoped to find on this server. I find it hard to begin conversations with people without making it feel too unnatural in game (not easy). I wish I could become involved with a community that would be alive and interesting, which I understand won't happen immediately but I have no idea how to even begin becoming part of the world, making a name for myself and enjoy role playing. Thanks to AfricanGlasses for a great intro to the game but I couldn't find any thing to do and disconnected after I was on for about an hour and a half, and honestly had no idea what I was doing or should be looking for. I hope I can get some pointers or help in any way possible!

Conflict and problems breed an interesting narrative- not idle conversations, usually. Give your character a problem that needs solving, or try to help out others with their problems.

Thanks that makes sense, I guess something like insulting someones character while drunk, tripping and knocking into someone would lead to an interesting conversation.

I dont know how I would help others with their problems, maybe an opportunity will come up.
