What is metagaming?:  Metagaming is roleplaying with what you know instead of what your character knows.

 

What is powergaming?: Power gaming is playing a game beyond it’s story to maximize progress within the game.¡¡

Character’s name: Matthew Everest

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

 

 

     Matthew Everest was born with a fatal illness, which his parents could not cure.  He was left for dead in the middle of the woods.  He was found a day later by an elf who cured and raised him.  Throughout his childhood, he was cast to the side and picked on by the other Elven children for his human traits.  He learned to run and find exits when he needed to, and he gained a very good sense of direction.  When he was ten, he started noticing the differences between him and the other elves.  This is how things were until he turned sixteen.

 

 

 

     When he turned sixteen, Matthew asked his parents about these differences.  He learned where he was found and his human origins.  For the next two years, he learned some basic combat.  When he was eighteen, he set out to find his real parents.  He had a vague sense of where to go thanks to his elven parents, but could not find their exact location.  Not much happened during this time.  He travelled throughout the countryside, through mountains, and across countless miles during this time.  Around his nineteenth birthday, he found his parents.  They were suspicious of the man claiming to be their son, and asked him if he had any proof of his claim.  He showed a birthmark, which was an exact replica of the one on the boy they abandoned years ago.  They told him what he wanted to know.  He learned of his brother Elijah’s existence from rumors.  He learned his true last name and why he was raised by the Elves.  He thanked his parents and was on his way to search for his brother, Elijah.

     Matthew Everest was born with a fatal illness, which his parents could not afford to cure.  With devastated hearts, he was left in the care of a wood-elf near Laureh’lin with the hopes that he might be cured.  In the event that the boy survived, the elf was told to keep his origins secret for the time being for his safety.  Throughout his childhood, he was cast to the side and picked on by the other Elven children for his human traits.  He learned to run and find exits when he needed to.  When he was ten, he started noticing the differences between him and the other elves.  When he was eight, he learned of the Creator, Iblees, the four brothers, and the works of the wandering wizard.  This is how things were until he turned sixteen.
