idan, born in Petrus in the year 1510, can not remember much of the old lands, Athera, he used to live in along with his family. After their arrival at the aidan of Vailor, the Cole family settled in the capital city of the, by then named, Reformed Kingdom of Oren. The Cole family consisted of middle class merchants, most of them travelling through the kingdom. aidan's father and mother were travelling as well to sell their goods, although they brought their son with them so that their offspring could learn the secrets of commerce. The family visited the same cities and villages roughly twice a year. All these settlements had their own special type of buildings. Meanwhile the Duke’s War erupted, this had a decisive impact on the family’s income, they couldn’t visit their main traderoute anymore. At this time the family had to survive on very little money. Isaec drew a lot of the buildings and places that they visited, he had not much to do since traders were nowhere to be seen where ever they went. The three of them were still happy with what they had, which was just a wagon with their ox, Henry. They lived humble lives.
 
In 1521 the war ended, this gave the opportunity to trade across the whole kingdom. A few weeks later his father gave aidan a sketchbook for his birthday. They had made more money since peace had restored and could afford such a purchase. aidan categorized every village they attended by architecture. aidan's drawings became more elaborate through the years. He tried to figure out the hidden meaning behind the buildings he sketched.
However, the plague breakout of 1526 left his parents again nearly bankrupt. The Cole family mainly traded in common equipment which mages and herbalists used. aidan’s sketches, normally really neat, deformed to rough sketches in which he tried to surpress his anger towards his family’s condition.
Henceforth, his parents switched their trade from mage equipment to building materials. aidan’s father tried to learn him the profession of tradesmen. His mother searched for an architect to teach aidan the profession of architects. After two years of learning both trades, commerce and architecture, aidan set out for the world, to explore cultures he had never heard of, to trade goods he had never seen and to build the most extaordinary buildings.
