Merkaken 516 Share Posted November 27, 2015 (edited) Another Dread Knight feedback thread. Sorry guys, it had to happen eventually. So, once more, Dread Knights have become inactive as sin. Before I make attempts to bolster our numbers (Again), rework our acolyte system (Again), and make new knights (Again), I'd love to get ask some questions to you all, and get some feedback.Things to avoid in feedback are "Stop being inactive". Not because we don't want to hear that complaint, it's just obvious as crap we're inactive since the active Knights (as far as I know of) comprise of just myself.Anyways, the questions.People who Roleplayed WITH Dread KnightsWhat did you like about us:What did you hate about us:Is there something you'd change:Any feedback you'd like to say: People who roleplayed AS Dread KnightsHow long were you a Dread Knight:Favorite part of the roleplay:Least favorite part of the roleplay:Is there something you'd change:Would you want to come back on your Dread Knight:Any feedback you'd like to say: Edited November 27, 2015 by Sore
WuHanXianShi14 0 Share Posted November 27, 2015 I say this, which applies to all "stronger and more immortal than you" evil archetypes:The less you try to shove the fact you're inherently more powerful than regular players down our throats, the more we'll be willing to RP it out that way. Otherwise you just seem kind of pompous and irritating. I've seen this attitude in liches, wraiths, dreadknights, etc. Sorry if I seem aggressive, I just don't mince words. My feedback is genuinely meant to be constructive.

Yes, this is something I've heard complained about a lot that plenty of new Dread Knights (Regrettably, myself included) have done/do. This is definitely something I will bear in mind. Thank you for the feedback.
Eranikus 348 Share Posted November 27, 2015 Oooh, dread knights. I only really remember two encounters with a dread knight, one of which was actually my first day of rp at the druid's grove in Thales. I tackled it like a football player....Yeah not one of my brightest moments. But the rp was interesting and wasn't overdone. It was a time I lost but didn't mind losing because the rp leading up to it was good. I had a lot of fun.I wish I could remember the ign of the dread knight that was attacking, I really do.The other was with another that was attacking the Grove, that one was actually a dread lord. Frustrating RP, but brought forth some amazing action scenes and one of the quotes in my signature!Suggestions... closely monitor who is made a dread knight. But then you'd be doing that anyway, so moot point.

But then you'd be doing that anyway, so moot point.I'm glad you had fun! And I think the first one was me, quite possibly. But a lot of people try to tackle Dread Knights... Never ends well. The Dread Lord does try hard to monitor the Knights heavily, as we pride ourselves on minimizing our powergaming and providing fun roleplay not for ourselves, but for those we come in contact with. Sadly, though, some do slip through the net and powergame and make roleplay enjoyable themselves rather than those we are fighting, which is the original idea. Sadly, one person trying to keep tabs on a group of giant hulking suits of death is... Difficult. So maybe an inner circle is needed to aid in monitoring other Knights. Thanks for the feedback! Wolf Druid Ouity 1461 Share Posted November 27, 2015 Make less feedback threads. If you feel like there's a problem, you'll know that better than 95% of players, and frankly there probably is. :>
Merkaken 516 Author Share Posted November 27, 2015 Problem is it's just been so long since I've been in contact with another Dread Knight or someone who's actually roleplayed with us, it's just a good idea to see how we're viewed and change it if necessary.
