Free The Hobbits 859 Share Posted December 24, 2015 Friends, Halflings, Countrymen. Where have we lost our ways, fallen to those who we have looked down upon as lesser beings. Have we lost our ways, praying to blasphemous gods and biggun statues? Have we lost our ways, using currency and locks upon our doors? The Halfling people have lost their ways, misguided by Sea Witch Arugula herself, into the temptation of what lies beyond our great rivers and lakes. Gone are the ways of the old Halfling; lost before us as we enter a new generation of heresy, and blasphemy. Too long I have allowed this to happen, too long has the corruption of the peaceful been allowed to fester like a plague upon our very being. I implore you, my friends, to reject these ideas and banish those who embrace them. We are apt to shut our eyes against the painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. But these ideas will falter and fall to ruin, they will fester and rot as our fields lay fallow and dry. You seek salvation, yet you forget the traditions of the past, rejecting us to turn towards life of indulgence and sin. This cannot be sustained any longer, this life will end. Halflings may cry, Peace, Peace, but there is no peace. You have set yourselves upon the path of destruction and anguish; you bring your kin and neighbors into the path of destruction just so you may live life like the heretics do.
