Magic Rules

 

• 1. Only members of the MAT are allowed to accept or deny a magic application.

 

• 2. If denied, all members of the team are obliged to explain why said person was denied. They do not have to get into specific details as we do not want to give you the answers.

 

• 3. If you have any problems or questions, message one of the team members and we will look into the problem or simply answer your question.

 

• 4. Magic Applications are for a character and not for an account as a whole. If you are caught using magic on an alternate character, your current magic application will be revoked temporarily or permanently according to the severity of the offense.

 

• 5. All magic applications must be written by the person posting it. One may not have any help with the written part of their applications.

 

• 6. You must wait 24 hours from the time you were denied before posting a new application, if denied. If you post an application before the 24 hours is done, your app will be automatically denied and you will have to wait 24 more hours from that point.

 

• 7. If you powergame in any way with your magic capabilities, your magic application can/will be stripped from you, resulting in a magical blacklist.

 

• 8. You may apply for a magic application one week after your acceptance to the server. You need at least one week to understand how the community works and runs.

 

• 9. A player with an accepted application is not allowed to teach any magic to said person until he/she has acquired an accepted magic application for the subtypes you are planning to teach him/her.

 

• 10. Magical Blacklists will have its own terms, depending on the scenario. Once the terms/time has been met, the magical user in question will have to speak with the Magic Team/LMs to reallocate their knowledge on the magics they abused.

 

• 11. You may not apply for another Magic Application while you are under the Blacklist. Doing so will lead to further punishments.

 

• 12. Blacklists are account bound, and affect all of your characters.

 

• 13. If you suspect a player powergaming magic, going outside of their Magic Application or even performing magic without an accepted app, you may report them to any member of the team with screenshots proving your claim. If you do not have screenshots, then you may give us information and we will investigate the ordeal.

 

• 14. If you suspect a member of the team being unfair or simply rude, you may report them to any other member of the team and your name will be kept anonymous.

 

• 15. You must have an accepted magic application to use magic, Household magic being the only exception.

 

• 16. When using a self-taught magic application the user must also provide evidence to the individual MAT handling the application in regards to the tome, RP, archtype, and the connection.

 

• 17. The title of your magic application should be formatted as follows: [Type of Magic] (Arcane/Druid/Shaman/Clerical/Dark Arts/Golem/Rune/Monk/Muun) [TA/MA] -Character or MC Name-  Creature and Entity application should be the following: [Type (Necrolyte/Construct/Spectre)] and then the Character or MC name.

 

• 18. One character is limited to 5 total magic subtypes. They may only be a master of 2 types, adept at two types, and novice at one type. Saying this, a character is only capable of teaching four magics, including previously known. Artificery Magics are independent from this limitation, and do not count towards the magic app or teacher app limits.

 

• 19. A character is only capable of bringing on five students at any given time, once they’ve taught said student(s) they may then bring on another, or another few.

 

• 20. Magic Guides are under MAT jurisdiction. If you wish to make a Magic Guide, it must go through us, first. Failure to do so will result in removal of the guide.

 

• 21. A person must have four months of experience in a magic before they can make a teaching application for it.

 

• 22. A person may teach only three magics per character (this includes any teach-only applications).
