Alarica would turn the letter sent from her daughter over in her hands a few times . The letter would be warn, and covered with a layer of dust.
She'd reach over to her desk, grabbing a small letter opener and slowly moving to cut open the envelope.
Alarica would sluggishly pull the letter from the envelope, dusting off the thick layer of dust that coats the paper, and unfold it.

She'd run her finger over the written words, re-reading it a few times, before placing it down on the table.

The letter would read

Spoiler

"Dearest Mother, I'm sorry I haven't seen you in so long, however I bare tragic news.

It burdens me that I cannot deliver this message to you in person.
Mother... Nicolas has passed away.
I wish I could tell you he passed peacefully into the cold night, however I regret to notify you that he passed away by his own hands.

I will miss him, as I'm sure you will.
Be strong dear mother.
-Lovingly Alexandria"

Alarica's eyes would slowly swell with tears, the small droplets making their way down her face, staining her cheeks red.

She'd wander over to her wardrobe, opening the doors slowly with a small creak.
She'd bend over reaching inside to pull out a small wooden box. The woman would open the box, revealing two weddings rings, one hanging from a chain, both laid gently in silk.
Alarica would pick up the ring with the chain, pulling it close to her chest. The tears still rolling down her face she'd fall to her knee's sobbing.
She'd gently wipe away the tears that make their way down her face, lifting her head to see a single piece of paper tucked into the back of the closet.
She'd grab the paper, looking over the beautiful picture of her and Nicolas back in Athera.
She'd squeeze the picture against her, before placing the rings, and picture back in the closet for safe keeping.
The woman would slowly pull herself up from the ground, her eyes red from the tears.
She'd walk over to the table, grabbing a piece of parchment, and an ink and quill.
She'd slowly being to write, tears collapsing onto the paper.

Dearest Nicolas

Spoiler

"Dearest Nicolas...
I'm so sorry for the pain I have caused you... I regret it with each passing day.
I've wish upon many shootings stars that I may get the chance to say this face to face one day.
You were my world.. my husband.. my friend.
I made idiotic decisions, that caused you to grow to hate me.
I hate myself every forsaken day for that.
You were the sun to me... you lit my world the way no one ever could..
When I was with you, you made me forget about the past, the dark, I only saw the light with you.
I can never stress enough how sorry I am for ever hurting you.
I know you acted tough and cold when I confronted you, I know this was an act and that I hurt you inside..
Please forgive me.
I love you Nicolas Fireblade.
I'll miss you eternally Nikiki

- Until we meet again, Alarica"

Alarica would sluggishly place the letter in a unsealed envelope.
She'd seal the envelope, and pull it close to her chest.
Alarica would stand up from the desk, moving to the door of her house.
She'd step outside and wander towards the small campfire that burns.
Alarica would slowly kneel down beside the fire, kissing the envelope.
She'd slowly set the envelope on fire, and allow the ashes to rise in the smoke of the fire.

"Farewell my sun.. Farewell my husband.. Farewell my friend"
She'd yell into the night.
