Perils Of The Warp

A strong gush of blazing desert air made its way over the Braduk Doomfort. It was midday, and yet Wargoth Kahn'Braduk still slept. His recurring injury left him bedridden for extend periods at a time, and it was not uncommon that he would simply sleep through an entire day. Yet today was different, he thought as he struggled out of his bed with a hand clutching his stomach, specifically its left side. Taking a stick that he had fashioned into an elongated cane of sorts the giant Wargoth leaned his weight against it as he hobbled through the bowels of the Doomfort.

Climbing the stairs to reach the courtyard of the large fort seemed like such an effort for him and as if it took an eternity. In reality there were maybe a dozen or so steps, yet in his current condition even that was too strenuous. The sudden change in lighting caused his gnarled face to squint up, his long beard ruffling. Another gust of wind. He expected his long flowing hair to wash over his shoulders and face, yet nothing came. Kahn was yet to get used to having a shaved head. Glancing at the gate to exit the Doomfort, then to his throne room, the enormous Uruk made the executive decision to go sit down on his throne. It seemed today was not different.

He took a sigh of relief as he eased down onto his skull covered throne, jutting his cane into the warm sand and reclining back. There was an uneasy calmness in the air. Was it calmness though? Kahn could almost feel a distant anger..not from himself however but he knew it was there. His red eyes came to rest on the flame in the centre of the long table. The way it danced, it was surreal. The fire began to lick higher and higher, outstretching towards Kahn. Unsure if he was truly seeing this Kahn went to move, yet found that he was unable. Next thing he knew, his vision had tunnelled and was completely engulfed in flame.

Kahn could feel the hit before he came to. A familiar sensation, yet one not of this realm, not of reality. His eyes snapped open, or atleast, it felt like they did. In actual fact Kahn's body was not here, only his consciousness. As the endless wasteland of bloodlust and war spanned before him and bodies began to pile as high as they possibly could, and then even higher, one thing protruded above all else, and Kahn only witnessed it for a split second. A brass fortress.

Blackness

A dark room

Kahn looked up and the pile of skulls which eventually led to a throne. An on it, was it. Enrohk.

Kahn was no Farseer, so whether or not this was truly Enrohk or a fever dream he could not tell. But it seemed as real as could be.

"Bak 'ere agan." The Wargoth said.

"WHERE ARE THE SKULLS" Enrohk demanded. There was no question-like tone in his voice, his shout thundered across the wasteland yet through the rage Kahn could hear one thing. Disappointment.

"Wot?"

"DID YOU NOT BECOME A FAVOURED SON OF MINE. YOU FORGET WHO YOU DEVOTED YOURSELF TO. YOU LIE DORMANT FOR TOO LONG."

"Ahve been fokuzin on puttin over yonger Urukz. Helpin da new generation. Even lat, kan peep da value in dat." Enrohk disregarded this remark.

"IRON RHINO. ALL I SEE IS A SICK OLD DOG PAST HIS PRIME." Kahns eyes widened with rage yet it was no match for the rage of Enrohk. The spirit produced a giant bloodied greatsword and swung through the air, tearing it asunder. Reality began to cloud Kahn's vision, and he could see the throne room.

Then his eyes snapped open. Panting, he tried to get up. He still could not move. His gaze was drawn to a skull that sat beside him. A permanent laughing expression was painted on his bony face, a gorey red mist seeping from its eye holes. It spoke.

"A Bear with a Shadow will bring drought to a Tide of White,

A young Rhino will come to prominence,

And a Demon will be surpassed."

It took time, yet Kahn understood. He began planning.
