FELSEN TRANSPORTATION ACT

As established by Mayor Mylas La Terre Amant Carrington of the Imperial City of Felsen

Outside the walls of Felsen and within its docks, countless carts and boats and other forms are transportation are seen. The Imperial City is known as the hub of our Empire, and the burghers accept such title gracefully; however, things have gotten out of hand.

To the naked eye, a form of transportation is a benefit to all. But to the burgher, the thrifty clerk, and those with a knack for economics, it is understood that these carts drain from Felsen, and do not give anything in return. The Imperial City shall now create the privilege, Transportation, and bestow such privilege upon the cart-owners and shipmasters who seek such a thing. It shall no longer be a right for the dukes and counts of Oren to take from our Imperial City, and give naught in return.

This act will benefit not only the burghers of Felsen, but it shall benefit the Empire as a whole. The tax shall incentivize landowners to levy Minae from their towns, thus causing the need for extra Minae, spurring new-found energy throughout the Empire and populating the settlements which deserve such a thing.

PROVISIONS, hence forth:

  • An annual tax of 300 Minas shall be levied upon all carts outside the gates of Felsen
  • An annual docking-fee of 300 Minas shall be levied upon all ships which seek to dock in Felsen
  • All seeking privilege shall speak to the Mayor of Felsen for such a thing, and shall be granted a tax box within the Tax Office of Felsen, where payment shall be paid in six tax-slips per form of transport

PUNISHMENTS, hence forth:

  • Failure to pay tax shall result in revoking of transportation privilege, until the missed taxes are paid in full.
  • Failure to pay tax for two years shall result in forced removal of transport from Felsen.

"The respective tax boxes for fast travel owners can be found on the upper floor in the Felsen Tax Office." adds Silus publicly to the notice.
