Kardel stands on the steps of the tavern. Around him, his supporters stand, wearing the Irongut colors. Kardel raises his palm as a crowd gathers, and boldly speaks, his deep voice resonating throughout the cavernous space:

"Urguan has declined."

"No longer is our kingdom Grand. No longer can the Dwedmar pride themselves in that unfaltering unity and noble honor, as fine as the gold in Armakak's coffers, that we once claimed with vigor. The sons of Urguan do not know who to blame, and no one person is to blame. Rather, a never ending chain of unfit kings, unbeknownst to the people until their nominations, deepen the hole of hopelessness we have sadly found ourselves in. A system, with much to be asked from, has sat incumbent in the highest offices of the Dwedmar, failing the sons of Urguan at every turn. No reforms have been made, and the only thing keeping the dwarves loyal to their nation is the distant promise of novelty, a novelty that always seems to fail. Beardlings, unheard of, claim positions of high esteem and lead our nation with careless reform. They enchant their followers with distant promises of glory. Yet there is many a sip between the cup and the lip. What is said is often left undone, and those that say that which is never transferred to material deed linger like dust on the Obsidian throne, only to be replaced with another of their ilk."

"The current system of rule is unacceptable. Fellows unknown to the Dwed rise to power out of false demagogic promises that are never upheld. Have we not learned from Midgor? From Uldar? From kings newly come that are nominated out of false promise? What the Dwedmar need is a strong candidate who will uphold his promises, and who is not interested in the enticing ambition and power fueled by Grimdugan, but in the glory of the Nation."

"And who is better for the nation than an old, wizened elder, who has seen bad and good government throughout his life?"

"Therefore I, Kardel Irongut, Clan Father of the Sons of Dwain, Prophet of the Brathmordakin, and Elder of the Dwarven people, put forward my experience and pragmatism to lift our nation from this ditch it has encountered on the long path to recovery. I swear upon the souls of my forefathers, under the strict gaze of Dungrimm that I will do my best to return this nation to the prosperity it once touted under kings like Omithiel Strongbrow, pinnacles of our people. "

"These foreigner dwarves previously mentioned attempt to pledge reform. They pledge a return to better times, however unsure they are of the exact mechanism they would use to relapse into the age of glory now fondly remembered by those old enough to remember it. What made Thorin Grandaxe, Valen Grandaxe, and Omithiel Strongbrow dwarves of legend were not their promises. What made Kjell Ireheart Paragon was not his rhetoric. It was the actions of these dwarves, and their experience and love for the dwarven nation that made them prominent figures in our history. And behold, my planned action, in the form of seven tenets."

1. That, primarily and chiefly, the Dwarven people return to that customary spirit of curiosity and re-embrace expedition, venturing off on long journeys to uncover antediluvian artifacts and to honor our Paragons and Ancestors by uncovering traces of their heroic actions. The above shall be taught to all dwarves, old and young, to ensure the continuity of our blessed traditions.

2. That, with industry and laboriousness, the People of Urguan rebuild the city of Kal'Akash, a tangible testament to the reformed spirit of the Kingdom. And that the march of Kal'Akash be fortified so that the legion has an ample space to defend in time of crisis.

3. That, as urgently as possible, the economy be converted into a semi-mercantilist machine by which the government regulate prices in order to ensure the fair reciprocation of the many hard working craftsmen of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, so that the government may mediate the economy while letting it run independently.

4. That the shrines of the Brathmordakin are restored to optimal condition, and that the Kirkja Dverga be given greater importance in the lives of the dwarves. The Brathmordakin have been ignored for too long.

5. That the Urguanic taxes are lowered so that our craftsmen may further develop their economic interests without hindrance of the state.

6. That the government is consolidated into meaningful titles in order to maximize efficiency and hinder corruption and favoritism.

7. That the land of Urguan is used with maximal efficiency, and that certain superfluous possessions of the kingdom are either developed or leased in order to bolster the coffers of the kingdom.

"The above are but the tip of the metaphorical iceberg of my policies. With pragmatic economic reform, meaningful cultural development, and strong, consolidated government, the nation of Urguan will live up to its Grandeur once more."

"Narvak oz Urguan!"

"Narvak oz Brathmordakin!"

"Remember the reign of Uldar! Of Midgor! Do not let beardlings drive our nation into ruin again!"

Durack would hear of this speech and sit back in the tavern.

After watching his fellow clan mate and senator, Conan, nominate Ziko, he wanders why he would do so, while at the same time, doesn't really care. Durack's only stake in this is that he choose someone who he would think offer more for his upcoming expedition and future ones.

He could taste the discovery and treasures, reveling in the dreams he wish would come true. Until the other candidate mentions anything of exploration and treasure hunting, he would submit his vote for this dwarf, Kardel.

Dwain nods to the points. Liking mostly the lowering of the taxes.

Dormin looks on from the seat of the tavern. He replies "Nay."
