What is roleplaying?: Where you create a character that is lore friendly to the world your plying him, and effectively pretend to be the character. The character has his own custom backstory and yo can do whatever you want (within limits).

 

What is metagaming?: Where you use external knowledge to further roleplay.

 

What is powergaming?: Where you make yourself so overpowered you are undefeatable, in and out of roleplay.

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Born in the city of Lin’Sulan, Alreis was given birth to by a farmers wife. While his father’s job was necessary, the high elven society often looked down on him. He his lack of knowledge and common sense made him embarrassed because of the high elven culture.  While Alreis respected his father more than many other of the elves, he still didn’t look up to him. His main idol was his teacher. He always perused knowledge and Alreis appreciated this. He wanted to follow the same path.

 

  10 years before he had become an adult, Alreis wished to pursue knowledge more than ever but he was restricted by his father. His father wouldn't let study magic in fear that he will gain an interest in dark arts and turn evil. This increased his hate for his father even more and Alreis started to treat him the worst out of anyone. He went as far as moving out and buying his own house, changing his surname to Adolon and cutting off all communication from his father. While he still had the wish to pursue mahic, he never had time as hed had to keep up a low paying job at the market and he hardly had enough to live. Eventually, he couldn't pay the rent and was kicked out of the house and this is were his story begins(Hopefully).
