What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is basically pretending to be someone else, and doing what they would do in that time period.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using OOC information, and using it for role-play. An example is that someone reads your card, then says your name without asking in role-play.

What is power gaming?: Power gaming is doing things your character would be unable to do, such as a 6 year old kid taking down a 15 year old man in a role-play fight.

 

In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Max lived an acceptable life, born 1532. She had a nice father, but she was and only child because her mother died giving birth. Her father was a skilled miner, and he often spent days alone down in the mines. Max learned how to cook basic meals and clean. She often spent long days in the woods, wandering alone. One day, she stumbles upon a wild dog. Max was unaware of the dangers of it, being sheltered most of her life. She approached the dog, and it bit her leg, long gash on her leg. Max began screaming and scared the dog off, and her father found her. Days later, she got an infection and got very sick. Max went town with her father to get treatment. While she was in the clinic, her father was robbed and taken prisoner. Max never saw him again.

     Max had to learn to live on her own. She often went to the woods to hunt. Max grieved everyday for her father, and often went looking for him. She always came back, not a step closer to finding him. A large storm came by once, and destroyed many trees and plants. Max was unlucky enough for her house to be struck by lightning. It caught on fire and she fled at once. Max lived on the streets for a long time, dreaming of becoming a doctor. One day, she stumbled upon Felsen, the capitol of Oren. Max lived there, looking for a job, as she does today.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Max is curious, yet shy. She often bites her nails and gets very nervous around dogs.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) She wants to be a doctor

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) She is good at hunting and sword fighting

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) She is socially awkward and can't shoot a bow well. Max doesn't do well under pressure and often speaks without thinking.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) She is short, at 5'2. She has brown hair, pale skin, and that scar down her left calf.
