Definitions

Roleplaying: The partaking in assuming a fictional role set in a fictional setting.

Metagaming: Exploiting OOC information for IC benefit. (Ex: Finding out a secret location outside of roleplay and using that knowledge to discover the location IC)

Power-Emoting: Giving yourself a characteristic/power/ability that is too over powered and unrealistic. (Ex: Immortal, flying, Mind Control, Mind Reading, etc.) Also, allowing your character to perform something that is unrealistic that disables the participant you are interacting with from resisting, there for overpowering them without giving them a chance. (ex: Being able to perform fast movement in heavy armor, etc.) Combined together, Power-Emoting allows participants in the role playing session to be overpowered

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Magi Slyvin, born around 1535, has always been a quiet but interesting character. She's quiet due to the absence of her parents whilst growing up. Her father was killed fighting under The Orenian Empire in the fight for the dwarven fort, Khro'Nogaak in 1538. Followed shortly after, her mother killed herself because she could not handle the grief. She does not know where she resided prior, nor what transpired to bring her to Sancaury, where she currently resides. She tends to a travern as it's maid, working for her meager wage to feed herself.
  Even with everything she had went through, she held her head up high, and worked with pride. Before working at the tavern however, she was a parasite, leaching off of what she could to keep herself fed one more day. She educated herself through waste and findings through out the city. She stayed to herself, couldn't trust anyone and never made any childhood friends. This explains why she works quietly, avoiding conversation with the customers. But she doesn't hesitate to converse when prompted, having grown accustomed to talking to people after picking up a job at a tavern when she was around 18.

 

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Quiet, Modest, Happy, takes pride in her work. When unoccupied, mindlessly plays with a rock in her pocket. Likes solitude, appraisal of her work, and well-mannered people. Dislikes loud noises, rude people, populated and busy locations, blood.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Magi has no significant aspirations, but always has wished to have a friend.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Working, taking orders, watching for herself, reading and writing.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Social Anxiety, speaking up, thinking higher of herself.

• Your power-emoting is partially correct, but try to think of how it can be used against other people while roleplaying. 
• Having your parents killed by orcs/bandits is a cliche. Try to think of some other way they could have died if you want to kill your parents. Maybe look into some of the plagues or wars that have occurred recently?
