I'm a bit uncomfy with the notion of having to rebuild all 'my' stuff, but since the whole map is going to have to be rebuilt, I can just live through it. I'm more unhappy with the fact that i'm sort of a merchant, and having to leave behind all my goods and store inventory is a real bummer.

Looks good, I'm new but I see alot of abandoned houses/towns/random stuff in the wilds, a better structure to prevent that sort of thing would be good. Also love the chance to move items, Not too worried about my own, but my Knight order would lose alot of materials if it was just poof new world, seeing as how we don't store our armory items on us but in our armory in chests.

So if jeb's tweet is true, and Notch wants to do pre releases up until minecon, that means no 1.9 for at least 37 days. Which I'm sure would cause one hell of a delay on your plans.

lol, I have been saying this for a while. And it's not going to be no 1.9 for a while, it's going to be no 1.9 full stop. Instead when minecon is lauched so will the full version of minecraft: 1.0

Edit: I support the idea of banning all inside city farms. Maybe not completely... but at least taxing them more or something to make them less appealing. Moving farms to the country side in my opinion is a really good idea. Not only does it take up room where those random annoying buildings could be created, but it adds a certain... charm to the world. Also more space for farmers = more $$$. Think about it ^^

Very nearly all of the abandoned homes I've come across are dug into the ground, which would make removing them quite hard. Also they have annoying pits that will snare the unwary.

I also found one in a mass of trees (with private chests and threats of bans for griefers) that had all had the first five blocks of thier trunks cut off. When I replaced one of the trunks, it was chopped down less than an hour later leaving the mass floating again.

I spent a considerable amount of time removing floating trees this weekend, it's sad to have to do it but good as it both makes the land look better and I get a ton of wood and apples out of it...

Might bugger off to fight the undead instead of maintain an area of the wilds, might be less work involved...
