If not, about when is this going to happend? I don't feel like spending days on building a estate that I'll have to tear down 2 weeks later.

Yeah I've been thinking about that. I know a couple people who are making new towns at the moment and they aren't finished yet so lots of the work they have been doing could just go to waste.

When all this starts, I'm going to tear down my house for its resources. Then I'm going to claim a spot in the new continent quickly. From there, a city will arise! Yadda yadda. I'll probably just invite my friends to live around me then maybe a town would start, of course, I could also just be helping the recreation of Crimson Vale, I'll probably stick with them. But who knows, a whole new world with new possibilities, it's going to be seriously awesome if a bunch of the world is unexplored even for the GMs. And watch out for silverfish:

I seriously hope that this will take less than a month. I think we need a fresh and bigger Aegis, that is rid of all those random abandoned buildings. We really need the bigger space to enhance travel and exploration...

I think if we move it would be awesome with the new 1.8 terrain. Much bigger and richer then before. However, I still don't think that people should lose anything. Maybe have 20 weeks where active players can say I want to keep my stuff, to get rid of the un-active players. This would make for a better cleaner world.

What ever you do, I'll stay with you all the way, as I know you'll make the right decision! Happy thinking ;)

Oh thank god for this. We've been getting so much panic on this whole map reset business, with trade already freezing on account of 'stocking on minas for reset'.

While a reset on 1.9 will have my support, there's no need for the bracing period to mean the near-flatlining of all of current Aegis.

I'm not so sure about taking the VIP houses along to the new land. Maybe if your VIP you get a couple of days or a week to start on the new land, before everyone else comes on? All options have pluses and minases.

Lore wise, it would be wierd to have the houses move along with us to the new land. Also, it's the new land, and I think a almost 'clean' start would be best.

I for one would love a world reset, at least for the official release of minecraft. This is supposed to be a testing phase anyway right? Everything fresh gives the players who are ambitious(like myself) but started way late(like a week ago) to better make their way in the world of Aegis.
