What is roleplaying?: storytelling through writing with groups of people or just one-on-one
What is metagaming?: using knowledge that your character shouldn't know in roleplay (ie. Hearing people talk if they're rooms away) another way of metagaming is using information out of your characters life as guidance
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: basically cutting off the realism in roleplay (ie. Moving around easily in clunky armor), and making fights unfair where you purposefully don't add an "Aim" to your attack gesture

Biography: nina rose was born in 1520, at the end of the dwarves rebellion. the elf was raised in the city laureh'lin with her single mother. nina's mother was abandoned by her father when he found out the elf was pregnant, leaving the young women to take care of nina on her own. nina's mother was a crafter like most wood elves and crafted small statues for sell in the area. she never really sold her work, so in due time nina's mother ended up pursuing a career of painting instead. nina was neglected as a child, and would spend most of her days as a child playing in the city with elves her age. nina also gained some skills of word working by the old wood elves who were nice enough to teach her.

 

in the years 1542, nina decided to leave home one night, as her mother never really payed much attention to her. she went to various cities and settlements like willow hollow, felsen. after being on a ship consisting of orcs (other races were aboard) for some of her days traveling, nina is now scared of orcs and does her best to avoid speaking to them, for anxiety reasons. throughout nina's constant wandering, she learned many things about magic, the creatures, and various plants throughout vailor. she ended up sticking around in the high elf city of lin'sulan from the safety feel from it.

Appearance: nina has slight traces of high-elf in her blood, which is why her skin is a light tan. nina is also small like all wood elves standing at 4'11. her eyes are doe-like and dark brown, and her body is has light freckles on her collarbone, hips, face, and elbows. nina has slight chub on her body, making her cheeks look round and her arms slightly thicker than average. she usually wears a green off the shoulder dress with a dark brown cloak, the cloak possessing a hood that nina pulls over her head when she's worried, embarrassed, or feels threatened. her hair is pale brown, and she wears some of it in a braid and holds it up with a bow.
