Piov 2643 Share Posted June 2, 2016 Out-Of-Character Information Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication! What’s your Minecraft account name?: Piov How old are you?: 16 Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): I am aware. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Have paroused them multiple times. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: “In-game harassment that includes poor and or malicious RP that is enacted to target or single out an individual for the purpose of harassment, in most cases for OOC reasoning, will not be tolerated...Scenarios will be analyzed case by case and left to the moderators to decide if the claims of such are legitimate.” This rule stood out extremely to me as I was going through the rules. I am glad that this aspect of role-play is reinforced with some sort of code of conduct to ensure that all aspects of the scene are regulated and put to standard. This is a prevalent issue I had experienced with on previous role-play servers. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): The combat role-play rules seem a bit unclear to me. Perhaps some clarification and or eyewitness experience can help me understand it a bit more. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: A Friend. Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): N/A What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the act of one adopting a character persona in a given contemporary context. In this manner, one would “be” that character, acting in a way in which they would. Roleplaying involves cognitive evaluation, thinking the way that character would think, express their strengths, weaknesses, likes, and dislikes. It is a continual express of that character in accordance to their beliefs, race, personality, sufferings and pleasures. What is metagaming?: Metagaming entails the utilization of Out-of-Character information towards one’s gains in the In-Character spectrum. It is using what you may have heard Out-of-Character and integrating this information into your role-play and vice-versa. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming involves utilizing forced actions into role-play. It is a form of coercion implied in your action rather than giving a chance for other parties of the scene to interact freely. It is a definitive action rather than an implied one. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) Benegar Gotthold Character’s sex: (male or female?) Male Character’s race: (you can find all the playable races here.) Human, Heartlander Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) 51 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Benegar Gotthold was born in Felsen to relatively well-out family. He was educated around the capital as a young boy and had a relatively estranged relationship with his father. He was a rebellious child, often sneaking into brothels and experimenting with alcohol. Having been raised under the pressure of combative education, Benegar during his adolescence detested war and the combative arts. In staunch contrast to his rambunctious past, as he came of age and grew into his adulthood, Benegar began to accustom himself to a life of frugality, humility, piety, and diligence. As a boy, he had grown fond of the High Pontiff. He became weary of materialism, mainstream politics, and had simple desires to fulfill in his life’s needs. Of all the trades, he admired fishing to be the most pleasing, quiet, and calming of tasks. Benegar often took daily walks, almost as if it were a pilgrimage, to the ports or sit at the shore with his fishing rod. It was one of the fewest activities he and his father mutually loved and was a hobby shared with his brother. When he was nineteen, Benegar engaged a Heartlandish woman whom he love for some time. However, she grew lustful and was caught by a distraught Benegar cheating with another man. After experiencing devastation in his misfortunes with love, he decided not to marry anyone else. Shortly after, tragedy struck when his brother had died, leaving his nieces and nephews in loneliness with his death. As a result, he believed it was a mortal obligation to help them in their life and to support the relatives of the Gotthold family. When his nieces and nephews were grown and ventured on their own, Benegar had decided to take his own life’s journey around Felsen and other settlements. Upon returning home, he had resolved to chronicle his life’s experience and serve society well through his diligence and beliefs. He carries nothing more than his name, what little money he has, his memories, and knowledge. His next mission entering early mid-life is to find true meaning in life’s value, helping his surviving immediate family, and searching for happiness in a role that would benefit himself and society. Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Diligent to the bone, Benegar takes pride in work and fulfilling his obligations. He is a pious individual, always believing in the need for spiritual consolation. He is also frugal, not subscribing to excessively, pomp, and toiling with salacious behavior. He is also characterized by his strictness and obstinate demeanor toward societal values and trends. He also can be quite cantankerous toward others, often resorting to impulse consequently. Benegar Gotthold can be characterized with a "by the book" personality, perceiving everything as black and white and with a conservative mindset. A quirk of his is that he often adjusts his clothing and bites his lip whenever he is nervous or in awkward situations. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) The two main goals Benegar has is to become a knowledgeable person, becoming as educated and well versed in all aspects of life. He also aspires to live a life in example toward the Church and find life’s truest truth. He’d probably align himself toward work, prayer, and charity to the Church of Canon and to the meek. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) His prime strength is sense of determination analytical mind. He is a sharp thinker, often confining himself to pensive inclinations and also when put to a task, Benegar is often one to fulfill the role to the best of his ability. As a result, he conveys a sense of camaraderie and amiability. He is also a great writer and a somewhat decent orator. A lesser known talent is his ability as a counselor and mediator. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) He sometimes can be described as somewhat asocial. Benegar has a tendency to be quite introverted and reserved. He sometimes can be a “stick in the mud,” not being the most extravagant color in the rainbow but a dynamic character in his beliefs nonetheless. He also suffers from acrophobia, being morbidly afraid of being in high areas. Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Benegar has black hair with some areas turning slightly grey. The hairline is receding and his hair is rarely groomed and waving about frequently. Benegar has hazel brown eyes. He stands at 6’0” even, with a simple tan robe with slightly worn sleeves and torn areas on the bottom of his robes. He also walks with simple sandals (or barefoot usually when inside buildings). He also wears a simple cinture-like belt made of cotton and wool that was originally white yet now a discoloured rope hue.
