A Message To the Faithful

Fili stands before the great temple of Kal’Ishtul, a small crowd gathered about him, he beckons them closer and begins to speak.

 

My fellow faithful, I am glad to see so many of you gather today in the presence of the Brathmordakin. Early in the days of Hogarth Irongut's vocation as High Prophet, I joined the holy clergy, and was initiated as a priest. However, I have been neglecting my duties. No longer I say, shall I fail to fulfill my oath to the gods. I pledge to uphold our sacred traditions and beliefs more dearly than I ever have, and I pledge to guide our faithful along the path the Brathmordakin have lain for us as a people. Whenever our masses gather, in search of the gods blessing and sustenance, I will be there to host a sermon, and bring the gods’ divine will to the ears of our people. Whenever there is a faithful soul thirsting for knowledge, I pledge to bestow wisdom to them in my preaching, and bring them closer to the gods’ will. Whenever a Dwed lay broken, defeated physically, morally, or spiritually, I pledge to guide them back to the peace of Anbella’s grace, and to show them the road once more. My fellow Dwedmar, the age of the Brathmordakin is nigh, and soon all shall bear witness to it’s greatness!

Drynn nods his head in approval from within the crowd, thinking back to the religious reformation experienced under Indago Stormhammer. He looks forward to seeing what comes of this pledge.
