The Ground Stabilization Act, 1568

After startling discoveries made by State commissioned experts, the structural strength of our glorious city's ground has been declared nearing dangerous conditions. In order to effect a timely halt in these deteriorating conditions it has been been ruled by the City Council to place further taxes on the residents of the good Felsen.

The Ground Stabilization Fee is currently at ten minas per square meter ((block)) and shall only be paid once.

The creation and possession of basements, wine cellars and the like is to be reported to stewards for registration before the next tax collection. Any new addition is to be reported to the stewards. The size and usage of the underground constructions is to be reported as well, with the punishment of a 1000 minae fine in failure to provide the truth.

Let it also be known that the Felsen Watch shall be allowed entry upon random visitation to ensure no faulty reports. Warrants from the Grand Mayor's pen shall be given to these agents to ensure their legitimacy. Civilian disobedience will be met with a fine of 200 minas.

Signed,

Grand Mayor Karl Fredrik Austratt of Felsen.

((to hopefully fix a good amount of lag, we're basically putting our foot down on the entity filled basements. if you need storage there will be options available soon offered by the state or perhaps even private entepreneurs. You have untill next sunday to pay up or fill up the basements.

P.S: Do note that it says residents. A tavern having a gambling den or other commercial buildings like that don't count unless it's cause for concern))

*John shakes his head*

"And people were moaning about the 'high' tax rate already.."

Just now, Dodders said:

"One time fee." A city herald would inform.

*waves his hand to motion not caring*

"And I thought Felsen had a big sum of Mina to spend on this sort of thing.."

*shrugs once more and goes back to the docks*

((good idea though from a ooc point of view))
