The Arbiters

+ Overview +

These are turbulent times where a man must hold a blade, and in an age of war he must be relentless. We must brandish both sword and quill against our foes, whether it be an orcish raiding party or abominations donning black. We must put down insurgents and enemies of the state internally or externally at all costs. That is our oath, that is our sacrifice, that is our life's work. To bear the military is to uphold the values of Haelun'or and preserve Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya.

 

+ Oath +

“I, [name], do thenceforth swear to abide by the Arbiter's ethic. I shall serve dutifully and abide by Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, and I will defend the cihi with my life if need be.”

 

+ Laws and Guidelines +

 

All members of the Arbiters, in addition to following every order granted from their commanding officer, are expected to abide by the laws of the nation of Haelun’or with few exceptions.

+ Punishment +

 

Punishment in the Arbiters may range from public lashing to demotion or banishment from the order itself. The severity of the punishment depends on the crime committed, and is assigned by the commanding officer of said offender.

 

+ Ranks of Importance +

"Those who exist without purpose may rise no farther than the dirt. However, silver shall not tarnish in the face of adversity."

 

High Justicar -
This prestigious position is held by the most zealous and well-suited Arbiter. The Justiciar leads the Arbiters and its forces, having total control over the deeds and missions of the Silver State.

 

Warden -

Elite soldiers and honor guard of both the Sohaer and the High Justiciar.

 

High Sentinel -

The High Sentinel is a veteran of the order, one who has shown competence in leadership and proven themselves loyal to the cause, and to their people. The High Sentinels are a small group of officers chosen to lead squadron of Arbiters on any mission assigned to them.

 

High Guardian -

Moreso an honorary position than one of command, the High Guardian is a title assigned to a Sentinel that has been deemed worthy of officership. From the moment they are assigned this title, they are to be watched over by the upper echelon of the Arbiters, to see if they are truly worthy to obtain the title of  High Sentinel.

 

Sentinel -

The bulk of the Arbiter, the Sentinel is a fully-fledged member and warrior of the order, safeguarding all of Elfkind and its leaders, and defending their people and homes during times of strife.

 

Guardian -

A Guardian is the standard footman of the Arbiters, most often assigned standing guard at the gates, or acting as a warrior on the front lines during battle. They are expendable, and have yet to prove themselves worthy of any form of authority over the order and its members.

 

Initiate -

An oathed Arbiter who seeks to join the ranks proper.
