What’s your Minecraft account name?: sullincollivan How old are you?: 18 What timezone are you in?: PST Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yep Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Absolutely What’s the rule you agree with the most?: My favorite was the Combat Rule that says “When combat takes place, the choice of using Rolls, Roleplay or PvP is given in determining how the combat will go down. The defender is always the one who has the choice to decide how the combat is played out.” This allows for a fair introduction to a combat scenario where both parties are on equal ground going into the fight. It’s essentially the same concept as a duel in the 1800s, in which the defender was always allowed to pick their weapon of choice. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): I understood everything. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I played on the server almost 2 years ago and I’ve recently been feeling a creative spark for roleplaying. Plagiarizing will result in the automatic denial of your application! What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the creative expression of fictional and non-fictional ideas through acting and speaking. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is the use of any out of character information to benefit yourself in game. An example of this would be people taking advantage of OOC forum posts with crucial information in them. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power-emoting is pretty much just bad role playing. It’s when someone chooses to destroy their opponent in one hit instead of letting an elaborate role play sequence play out. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: Tark Mossbeard Character’s sex: male Character’s race: Dwarven Character’s age: 57 Biography: The oldest to date text on the Mossbeard family only go back to the region of Vailor. As for the conception of Tark, after the Grand King of the Dwarves was lost at sea in 1516, Lanni and Brindle Mossbeard came to the realization that all life is fleeting decided they wanted to extend their bloodline. Lanni gave birth to Tark Mossbeard in the year 1518, but they quickly regretted that decision when a civil war amongst dwarves broke out. Being raised during wartime molded Tark into the Dwarf he is today allowing him to have a small amount of training with an axe. When the war was over the remaining members of the Mossbeard family, along with many other passive dwarves, delved deep into the caves to hide from the taint. When it was safe they emerged and traveled to the lands of Axios. Tark Mossbeard arrived in Axios, but was separated from his parents during the voyage. Tark spent the next few years searching for his parents throughout the Island of Tahn. But, because he was now an adult dwarf he had to start his life so he put his small amount of skill with an axe to use by working on a lumber farm. Personality Traits: Tark is quiet and reserved at first. But, once he warms up to someone Tark is incredibly loyal and outgoing. Being raised during a war caused Tark to be much more cautious of who he becomes close with. Ambitions: Lanni and Brindle often spoke of the Grand King, Balek Irongut, as a fair and honest ruler. Because of this Balek became Tark’s idol. Although, Tark never met the King, many stories of great battles and adventures were told throughout the Civil War. These tales shaped his idea of the type of dwarf he aspired to be. Strengths/Talents: Strength of mind is displayed by Tark’s never ending search for his parents and strength of body is shown by his long strenuous work days felling trees. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Tark, although strong in willpower, lacks finesse in battle and often ends up aimlessly swinging his axe in the direction of an opponent. Because he was raised during times of war, Tark didn’t have much time for school so, he never learned how to write. Appearance: Both of Tark’s parents had very light skin for forest dwarves resulting in Tark’s caramel complexion. Atop his head is a mohawk of pitch black dreadlocks decorated with various beads. But, he is usually seen wearing his green cloak to cover the tangled mass. The name Mossbeard originate from his ancestors who were known for allowing plantlife to grow in their beards some with rare flowers or fungi. Tark on the other hand has a simple beard with a light green moss growing in it. He stands at 4 feet and weighs 198 pounds with a bulkier upper body and shorter legs than a human but longer than a halfling.
